Sure does sound like Steve Serr and he coached at Westerville South and was the reason my son stopped playing at 14.
As you can tell, it is one of my favorite playing memories, though one in which I did not score. And yeah, I wish I had it on tape too. We had a pretty good team at times: Wings SC. We played together for 20 years on that team, some of us.

Yup. And I was once on the other side of it. I was playing for Hornets up in the NISA league at the Deaf School in the '80s. Germania was in our league, but one game they had a tournament and sent their over-30 team as a replacement (most of which were probably in their 40s). We thought we would whip them--and lost 7-3. All they did was pass us to death. They hardly ran but let the ball do all the work. It was a good lesson--and the worst licking we ever took from them.
I can remember when my club team would play in the adult league. We were in shape, playing 5 days a week, playing in the best league and tournaments for our age. We would get smoked by 40 year olds. They never lost the ball. They could pass and hold the ball no matter what type of pressure we put on them. They also knew exactly what movements to make and how to cover the proper space. It was frustrating but you learn from that for sure.
We would do that with the U12 team we were coaching. Drove them *nuts*--but Mike and I had been playing together for 20+ years....
Because Missionary and Pastor posted in this thread? As a moderator, any thread they post in should be immediately closed...you already know where its going to finish.
A few run outs, then fewer starts and more sub appearances, then reserve team captain, then just reserve games, then back to MLS?
While I did not call for heads in the FO or try to assemble a TAP (Torches and Pitchforks) Mob, I was kind of upset to see us get rid of Zayner. Now, the FO looks like they knew what they were doing and it was not such a bad thing.
It is a shame though. He was a good defender, and he seemed a good guy too. I hope he can get his legs sorted. Maybe latch on to a USL team for a season and try to get back to MLS.
Per Goff, he was never the same after the latest injury. So I wouldn't take his release as vindication of the FO one that one. He started all last year for DC.
Remember the year that Jed was traded that he did hurt his knee again before the beginning of the season, he twisted his knee and was out for a while(over two weeks). The FO did have Miranda in mind when they traded Jed away.
Robbie made the squad for Leed's game against Bristol City today. It looks cold and snowy there: http://lockerz.com/s/180605969
Not his fault that the coach isn't developing him properly. His confidence doesn't do well when he's on the bench.
