these run and relay event type things are really catching on warrior dash, spartan thingie, zombie run, etc etc. Seems Americans really want to be healthy, have fun, and drink a lot of beer after
Scholesy - would the updated itinerary look like this: 21st - Zenit game (could you snare extra tickets for this one too?) 22nd - Dinner with the legends 23rd - _____ (is that the tour of liverpool?) 24th - Swansea game (with all the awesomeness you described?)
Yes, exactly like that and yes I did already get an executive box for the Zenit game. So yeah that would be included. Two games in one week, not bad and has to be worth the trip now.
OK need a little advice... Now we are back in the USA I need to get TV service set up, who has the most Premiership games? Dish, Comcast or Direct TV? Or should I get Comcast and one sat company? I brought my dish and decoder from SA with me to the office so I get almost every premiership game there but not at home.
Cable and Direct TV have substantially the same thing including BeIn Sports which has La Liga and Serie A. So the question is which is cheapest and whether the satellite works from your home. My home has too many trees to get the satellite. You might have snow problems occasionally.
Most games? - DirecTV but you will need to make sure you get Fox Soccer Plus in addition to the sports pack that will get you beIn Sport (they took over the GolTV package) - that gets you some Carling Cup type games. Also with DirecTV you get the Europa and UCL dedicated channels so if for some reason Liverpool isn't on FSC or FS+ in that competition - it will be on the mix channels. Also - hands down - DirecTV has the most HD channels and one of the best pictures. Comcast has most of the above - but in some markets FS+ is not HD and they definitely don't have the Europa and UCL mix channels. Dish is just lame - my inlaws have it - it's clunky and they don't upgrade often. FiOS is another option - from Verizon - it's great for internet and phone - but DirecTV beats it on picture and channel choice. DirecTV still partner with Verizon in some markets if you don't do the FiOS triple play. Also in terms of customer service - DirecTV hands down. However realizing that you are in Utah - and that the weather can get iffy from time to time - I think a combo of DirecTV and one "stripped down" cable package would help in case of bad weather blocking the satellite signal. It doesnt happen often - but it definitely happens. Now you can use my TV thread too! (of course all of them have ESPN2 - so you'll never have to worry there - but please note that the Fox package is moving to NBC next year - DirecTV has shown the penchant to be the first adopter on new channels and platforms so keep that in mind). Lastly - I can explain this in excruciating detail in Liverpool next month
Thanks, I think we'll go for a mixture of Comcast and DirectTV then. Glad to have you on board, it's going to be brilliant!
American's huh! 'bout time you got out into the world son. Yours is a little tight around you. Take a look a 26's post after yours.
to be fair there are a few little things I need to square away such as travel arrangements and hotel - but getting the clearance was the key. side note - my good friend might be flying to England at the same time for work - he's a Red as well - I figured I'd ask about remaining ticket status?
I still have one so no worries. Stay at the Crowne Plaza in Liverpool, always cheap and really close, nice hotel and close to Liverpool One as well. right on the docks so it's really cool.
When Suarez joined on deadline day January 2011, in his first half season at the club he had: 13 appearances: 4 goals and 3 assists. In his first full season at the club (2011/2012) he had: 39 appearances (All competitions): 17 goals and 10 assists. He's gotten even better this season. So far (2012/2013) he has had 27 appearances, 18 goals and 8 assists. So his overall scoring record for Liverpool is 39 goals in 79 appearances.
FIFA Best XI - not a single player from the BPL or Bundesliga. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...orld-XI-NO-Premier-League-stars-make-cut.html
well there is not a single African, Asian, North American, Italian, German, Brit, Scandinavian, Russian or Eastern European in the team. Not to pick at the scab but Gerald Piqué is not one of the two best CBs in the world. For that matter neither is Ramos. And Casillas is not the best keeper.
Scholesy - I'll be sending you a PM later today - figured I should probably coordinate with you offline (e-mail) to get some more specifics (and do a proper introduction).
