There was a suspected deal for Ruud on deadline day to go to Spurs, but Spurs were worried about his fitness and Ruud apparently wanted a pretty large wage packet. David Jones started for Wolves in the CC, has been on the bench for all their EPL games with 1 substitute appearance. I don't think he's a starter there anymore, but he's definitely in their plans.
in the oranje thread in the netherlands forum, they're saying ruud is open to returning to the national team for the world cup.

We're in for Garrincha and Cantona as well. I've got no facts nor quotes, but if I put it on my Facebook profile it makes it about as credible as the Daily f'king Mail.
came across this youtube last night of Ronaldo. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb4pM6O8SWw"]YouTube- Goodbye Ronaldo[/ame] say what you will, but damn he was awesome for us. the circus at times what a bit much but he grew from it and at the end of the day, his focus was United and winning titles. it has all been said before, but his feelings about United are genuine and wish him nothing but the best (except against us ). anyway, was reading that bit in the Daily Mail and just loved this quote: 'Anyone who likes football, loves me.'
Amen. Couldn't agree more. I've actually had the discussion with friends - is he an all-timer at this club, even in only 5 years? 3 EPLs, the CL, and personal accolades - it's a helluva haul he had with us.
Though Peterborough's chairman claimed that Darren had been 'tapped up' before he left and would soon have a new position. That doesn't sound like a chairman that was 100% happy to have gotten rid of his manager...
Six seasons. He quite literally won everything he could win at the club. Even before he was WPOTY Ronaldo, his play in the 04 FA Cup and 06 Carling Cup final were things to be cherished.
a claim which was denied wholly by Darren through the LMA. it doesn't surprise me to see them get rid of him, just sad that is the nature of the game these days.
