Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) With Miss Hathaway in that suit, I think we all rise.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) i do not like this
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) I'm not sure how much I like that. I wish Catwomen wasnt involved. It seems a little cheezy for this darker version of the franchise.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) Honestly Bane seems like a cheezier character for Nolan's Batman franchise.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) I dont really know Bane but I thought he was just a regular guy. Am I wrong? Isnt he the one that broke his back?
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) Bane's the one that pumps a bunch of drugs into his system and becomes superhuman. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bane_(comics)
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) I just quickly wiki'd Bane... am I right in saying he is the guy who basically 'ended' Bruce Wayne as Batman then, by breaking his back? Seems a bit odd/random of a character to do so, is all...
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) I'm not sure about her. Not saying she isn't legit and all (cause I would tear dat UP!), but I don't know if she can be more vicious Pfeiffer. IMO, she needs to be a downright bitch.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) Here Kitty Kitty...
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) From da back, yo!!!!
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) Notice how Warner Bros. says she's playing Selina Kyle and not Catwoman. I mean we all know she's Catwoman, but all they say is Selina Kyle. Maybe she'll become Catwoman at the end or whatever. I hope they have her as Bruce's lover.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) Anne Hathaway would make a totally awesome Joker. You know, with those weirdly exaggerated facial features and all.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) I'm in this camp as well. Originally she was suspected of being looked at for the part of Talia 'al Goul, but with Bane being in the film, I have to think that rather than her being Catwoman for the bulk of it that she would make the move nearer to the end.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) I like the casting choice and the fact that Nolan will try to repair the damage done to the character by the Halle Berry movie. And I'm not worried about Pfeiffer's Catwoman somehow complicating things for Hathaway. Some voiced the same concerns when Heath Ledger took over the Joker role from Nicholson. A good actor can make any role their own.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) I don't think we need worry about the cheesiness of either the Bane or Catwoman role. Nola's approach seems to be to "de-comic book" these characters, making them a little more believable in the real world. Given that, I wouldn't be surprised if there is no cat suit at all, or at least, one without cat ears.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) You might be onto something. In nearly all of the sources I've read, she is said to be cast as Selina Kyle, not Catwoman. Perhaps Hathaway will play Selina before she becomes Catwoman? Though I'm not sure Nolan could get away with not giving the audience at least a glimpse of her Catwoman persona. I guess it could be a "Catwoman Begins" where she only really slips into the catsuit in the third act.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) Halle Berry is not reprising her role?!?!?!?! NOLAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) .
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) That would be my guess as well, much like how Harvey Dent didn't become Two-Face until about the third act or so of The Dark Knight. -G
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) When will there be a better excuse to post this... Hell, since I'm here....
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) I think most of us have desperately tried to pretend that movie was never made...
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) Anne Hathaway> Halle Berry Watch her in Havoc and "Love and other Drugs"
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) She was good in Havoc. That was a decent indi movie. I still have mixed feelings on this but Nolan has a nack for making all actors good in their roles. I kind of wish they would have went with villans not used in the prior franchise like the first movie but I am sure Nolan will make this work. I think he knows he has high expectations to live up too.
Re: "Anne Hathaway Reviving Catwoman For 'The Dark Knight Rises;' Tom Hardy Is Bane" (Wed., 1/19/11) But if he didn't use villains from the old franchise, we wouldn't have had Two Face and Ledger's amazing performance as the Joker. I think he'll get the most out of this. After the Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, I have confidence that Nolan knows what he's doing.
