Do you all watch the Daily Show? In my opinion it is one of the funniest shows on TV right now. Also the Dialy Show's host, Jon Stewart, played soccer at William and Mary and briefly considered trying to go pro after he got out of school.

I catch the majority of them during the week and I agree that it's one of the funniest and most intelligent shows on TV. Jon Stewart has been on his A game and he has had some really good guests to talk about the war.

The best satire you could ever find on TV. "The Daily Show: the one show where more people get their news from than probably should!" AND "The Daily Show: The one show where more Americans get their news than any other nationality!" Jon Stewart was recently in my hometown at the UNF Arena doing stand-up and he's just as hilarious behind a mic as he is behind his desk.

One of my favorite shows, it's great. Clint Mathis was a guest last summer.

Great to see Steve Carell on last night, I think he's the funniest guy on there. He hadn't been on for so long I thought he'd left the show.

I was just about to start a thread on this. I'm consistently amazed at TDS' sense of responsibility towards its viewers since 9/11. Stewart typically has at least one serious guest per week, and he's already had about half of the Democratic presidential field show up.

Eric Alterman was great the other night.

If anybody knows when Bob Graham (reppin' Florida!!!!) and/or John Kerry come on, could you send me a PM? I really hope that one of those two get the nomination. (I'm really NOT trying to turn this into a politics thing!!!)

Easily one of the best shows on TV. One of the things that amazes me is how Jon Stewart can make even so-so material funny. He definitely has the best interaction with the crowd of any talk show host.

If you haven't already read it, check out this hilarious article from the Onion with the Daily Show correspondents:

i watch "Daily show" all the time. by a distance, one of the funniest. still, i get a bit annoyed by jon's insistence upon fawning over any guest on the show (and his slicing of that idiot anne coulter is the closest he's ever come to an outright dissing): a bush speech writer ("watch me pat myself on the back for coming up with 'axis of evil' !!!!")? an analyst from the heritage foundation???? good GOD, people, life's too short....lew black, bless his heart, would have torn those turds a new one....
ed helms' piece on that moron in NY passing out toy guns to kids in harlem was a masterpiece.

It's funny, but I liked it a lot better with Kilbourn...

The day we beat Portugal he said "Portugal's majestic capital port city received one large canister of whop ass today courtesy of the US Men’s National Team" It was perhaps the best coverage of our win.

While I loved Kilborn, it's almost an apples and oranges thing, even though it's the same show. The Kilborn TDS was more parody, while Stewart's is more comedy. Craiggers would never laugh at one of his own jokes, and that's what I loved about it. Totally deadpan. The correspondents' interview in The Onion was enlightening, because the old Daily was more about mocking people in the correspondence pieces, and they fully realize that.

I don't have cable, so I don't watch too often, but the show from last night mocking the Oscars and having Oscar coverage a la Gulf War coverage was hilarious.
