Re: The Cristiano "Ya Mommy Cheers Him" Ronaldo Thread [R] Part " O Melhor Jogador Do Mundo"

Dont know how to use the multi-quote feature so bare with me.

1.) I never said Ronaldo never had passion for the NT, im saying currently as in the last year or so he hasnt been playing with the same fire that he does at Manchester. Sulking isnt neccisarily a good reasoning for his passion, sulking shows a lack of leadership and fighting to me at least shows a lack of composure that needs to be fixed. Trying to break ones leg isnt professional.

2.) Hey I bash ronaldo when its needed and I praise him as the best club player in the world when its needed. Like I said before, I own about 5 Ronaldo jerseys and I watch almost all his United Games so Im hardly a hater. In fact he's my favorite player but when he puts out shit performances for the NT like he has recently im gonna say something.

3.) To be fair with Ronaldinho, the whole team sucked in the 206 world cup. It was very un brazil like. Ronaldinho at the time was also out of shape and until recently he wasnt the same player due to some excessive behavior. Also many players play in different formations from their club/country and succeed. David Villa is a good example of that. The Spanish National team plays a 4-2-2 and several of their players play different position at Barcelona. Im sure theres more examples including the Chelsea team that was with Mourinho.

4.) This eludes to my point that ronaldo to be the player he is he needs an all-star lineup around him. He no longer plays like the best player in the world when his team doesnt have all-star players around him.

5.) He's also considered the best player at his position currently in the EPL. That speaks volumes and he did make the euro all-star team. The first goal vs Germany should of never happened and shouldnt be credited on Bosingwa. It should be credited of the terrible positioning of Ferriera. Bosingwa played fairly well against Brazil, Brazil was attacking ferriera's side because he was such a liability.

6.) Pepe has been very good since he got here, 1 game doesnt change that. Plus he wasnt even fit to play against Brazil, he hadnt played for 3 weeks.

whatever, im done with this. agree to disagree.

My point still stands, he hasnt had the same passion for the last year or so. Once he became god in the futebol world he hasnt played the same for Portugal. It cant get any simpler than that.

    1) Agreed. but if he didnt have passion than why would he do these acts to embarrasss himself? if he didnt have passion then you would expect him just to go through the motions and not show any emotion.

    2) Same here I am a Ronaldo fan and I also am critical of Ronaldo's NT performances.

    3) "To be fair to Ronaldinho" ... just the excuses like we make for ronaldo. he was a no show at the wc 2006 plain and simple.

    4) Ronaldo is a player who makes the difference between a good team and a great team. Hes not going to turn an average team like Portugal into a contender. if it wasnt for him, chelsea would have won the EPL and most likely the CL IMO. Portugal is overrated by everyone on this forum, they are not a good team. how can they be a good team when they have a crappy goalkeeper, their best striker is nuno gomes, no trincos, and no left backs? they are so unbalanced and you are only as good as your weakest link and Portugal has like 4 major weaknesses -- too much to be considered a top class side even if they have world class players in other positions. Portugal is the weakest theyve ever been in the past decade.

    5) there are plenty of right backs I would take before Bosingwa playing on other top national teams. MAicon, Ramos, Miguel (on form), Zambrotta are all better than him. Paulo Ferreira was voted the best right back in Europe in 2003 and now look at him. Bosingwa was at fault for the goal because isntead of staying back he ran up and over committed himself and got raped by the German counter... his positioning was awful and its those type of thigns that make me dislike him. I dont know why you cant see this, if you are saying Brazil attacked Paulo Ferreira's side when Germany's goal came down Bosingwa's side (and yes PF screwed up because he didnt check Sweinstaggars run in the centre but nonetheless bosingwa deserves a big part of the blame since the ball came down his side and he was caught with his pants down)

    6) true but im not saying Pepe is bad. hes good but everyone forgets he is prone to making costly errors. Real Madrid fans are all aware he has tendencies to make bad decisions which can cost goals. hes certainly a good player but hes not the most reliable and steady of CB's.

Ronaldo is a wreak mentally. He gets way too frustrated way too fast. But when he is happy he is unstoppable. After the WC it seemed his maturity was high and was ready for the leadership role. His first captaincy game saw him run rampant on Brazil and here 2 years later he is non existent for most games and this started right after the Euro.

The WPOTY shit has consumed him and it is a shame. I dunno what would be better for him. Winning it or not winning it, because when he wasn't in the running or finishing 3rd he was hungry ever since it was clinched last season following the CL final he has been a shadow of himself and his actions off the field and sometimes on are that of a cocky bastard thinking he's better then people. This isn't the WWE, although if he played this attitude in a different way it could be Mourinho-like and great to watch but instead his arrogance is not entertaining at all and not helping him in the least.

    Noitada
    Excursão ao Brasil

    Por
    MIGUEL SOUSA TAVARES
    http://www.abola.pt

    golo inaugural; terminado o jogo, seguiu-se hora e meia de autocarro e embarque para Lisboa, em novo voo de dez horas;

Ele é o número 1 do mundo?

its not the middle finger. its the index finger... like showing "#1". He got subbed off and the Aston villa fans were giving him stick, he pointing to himself (not the Man utd badge himself) and gestured #1 as if to say he is the #1 player.

heres a recent vid I found on youtube.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq5p6y13bQ8

Its in French. they discuss Ronaldo's status as the faviourte for the ballon dor and they even show the incident in Brazil when Ronaldo had the altercation with Thiago Silva, and some other incidents that look bad on ronaldo.

He shouldn't have put his hands on Marcelo, but the tackle on Silva was almost nothing. Stating that he would have broken his leg is an extreme exaggeration.

I must say that behavior of CR during the last three games has been totally disgusting. In the game last week against Villareal he looked so
pathetic and he flapped his arms so much that I was afraid that he was
going to fly out of the stadium.

Every day I have less and less respect for the guy. (And feel less and less proud that he's Portuguese!!!!)

He should be voted player of the year for his 2007-2008 PL performance. However, he needs to study Kaka and learn how a REAL superstar behaves. The man is pure class. Something that I'm afraid will never be said about CR.

The sending off today was a little bit harsh, but his behavior prior to that didn't do him any favors.

He clearly could have headed the ball, but he though he heard a whistle, so rather then potentially risking him getting a yellow card for shoot on net, he touched it down. Sadly, in an instance like that, he should just continue on.

Manchester United won the game against Man City.

The past month has not be a good one for our golden boy. I was once his biggest supporter but now he shoots himself in the foot every chance he gets and I am no longer as big a fan as I once was.

Bad Attitude and a bad performance this past weekend. SAF should relegate him to the bench for some much needed rehab.
