Messi didn't do much in 2013 and Ribery won the German treble so it should be going to him since he scored the winner of the CL final...."Arjen Ribery" the unmistakeable heart of Bayern.

Barca bought neymar cause they know Messi's medical records and the HGH wont hold up much longer.. Messi has peaked already IMO.

in Catalonia they inject u with HGH and drogas

in Alchochete, you get bacalhau and protein = longer term career for Ronaldo.

Ronaldo said that Sporting doesnt need him because we are already doing great without him...

proof that the best player in the world sees that Sporting is a great team... and I am sure he is relieved as hell that we were not involved in the CL draw... many of the coaches at the UEFA draw when asked about why there are no Portuguese teams left with the final in Lisbon a couple of them said thank god, because if Sporting was there we would not want to go to Alvalade and get creamed the way Beleneneses, Arouca, Setubal etc do....

Sporting is sending shockwaves around Europe.

Where would Portugal be without him? How in heavens name did Portugal not win euro 2004 final in their own back yard against Greece. One of the universe's great mysteries for me as a football follower.

He was 19 at the time or something.

We lost because Greece played flawlessly in defense. They beat us twice, beat the Czechs in the semis (who were playing magnificently) and beat the defending champions France in the quarters. There's nothing left to do but to congratulate them.

Good point - it's just I always remember the odds for Greece winning the tournament before it started was 1000/1 or something. That time Portugal had a good team, It wasn't like now where the team seems to rely only on C Ronaldo.

Wow, he was really emotional. Goes to show you how hard he worked. Congrats to him

The icing on the cake for Ronny would be to hold the World Cup trophy in July.

No ballon d'or winner has won the World Cup while holding the title. Let's see if he can be the first.

Parabens Cristiano! Hopefully we get 4-5 more years of these two greats battling it out.

Didn't Cannavaro accomplish that? Or did he win the Ballon d'or after he won the World Cup?

So happy for him, he is a role model ... work hardest and you will succeed despite what haters want.

Proud to be Portuguese, Madeirense and Sportinguista.

    After...

winning it this year will be hard... world cup will mean alot...

hopefully Real Madrid win CL in estadio da luz, beating Bayern would be nice... Can't stand that F*CK Platini and those Germany / French punks who actually think Ribery deserves it...

RONALDO 6 or 7 times came in 2nd or 3rd, its about f*cking time he won a 2nd one....

CONSISTENCY, not just magically winning cause your team wins...

F*CK Bayern and F*CK You platini.. he had no class.. even barca players didnt look nearly as mad as him.

Obviously winning cause of winning the world cup... you think he had what it takes to win one without winning a major accolade?

True Greats like Ronaldo don't need to win anything to be the best...the proof is when you see their performance week in and week out for the past 7 years....

Personally, I don't think he deserved it. It should have been Ronaldinho that year. But Brazil flopped, so he didn't take it.

I agree Zidane was the best player in WC 06, but Ronaldinho was by far the best player club-wise that year. No one came close

Record such a disgusting paper... puts ronaldo ballon dor win in the far corner and talks about some stupid foreign player Benfica garbage as their main front cover on a historic day for Portuguese football.

for anyone still thinking record is the sportinguista paper, it used to be but these days its the most pro-benfica paper there is probably even more than A Bola.

The anti-Ronaldo haters are even more hurting than the anti-Messi haters. Some of the stuff i'm reading is hilarious.
