First Half Stats, Notre Dame Offense:
9 total yards, 0 first downs, 2 turnovers.
Ya too bad our defense has decided not to show up for the most important game of the season. Our defense is usually so dominant.
Is Weis calling plays tonight?
I believe so. I'd feel sorry for Notre Dame if they were any other team. 3 quarters -- 1 first down (they got it on the last play of the quarter).
Gotta think Weis gets a buyout now. I believe ND is still bowl eligible because they have 6 wins. Only thing that saves him is if they get invited to a bowl (possible because ND fans travel well) and they blow out their opponent.
Hey Prince, you enjoying this as much as I am?
Make that 2 first downs.
And Prince is probably mourning his turtles.
Glad I read that twice. Somehow I read that as "mounting" his turtles. I guess that'd be one way to forget a bad loss (though one not officially approved by PETA).
LOL...good times. If USC actually had a great offense,
this game would have been waaaaaaaay worse.
Well that sucked a donkey d*ck. Now i have to hope for a miracle that UCLA beats USC. Everyone says we would go to the Rose Bowl if that happens but i dont understand the tie-breaker and how that would be.
USC and OSU would both have equal # of PAC-10 losses
and OSU beat USC.
not even... they did better than I expected this year... fat boy still cant recruit, but Ive accepted that we are just a middle of the pack ACC team
congrats, hope you guys beat VaTech
GaTech and UNC are going to own this conference in the coming years (along with the return of Miami)...
if he dont get fired within the month, then I will personally boycott Notre Dame... it was like youth team against professionals... and they deserved it... USC didnt even play that well, just Notre Dame was that pathetic... they had only 5 first downs too? pathetic
the BCS is now going to decide the Big 12 south champ... retarded...
erm...boycott how exactly?
well obviously that wasnt well thoughtout
but Weiss must be fired within the month... getting embarrassed on national television weekly cant be good for the alums...
I'm looking forward to 2013 and 2014...BC-USC
Apparently, first ND team ever to lost 15 games over 2 seasons. Kind of amazing that they are 6-6. Shows how weak their schedule was.
Really hope they don't go bowling...they don't deserve it.
unless they go on probation, or Carroll leaves... you should not be looking forward to this...
the other thing here... they weakened their schedule for this failure... and he still couldnt get them to above .500
anyway their were some great, GREAT games this weekend... Kansas/Mizzou, Ga Tech/Georgia, LSU/Arkansas, Nebraska/Colorado... great weekend.... Kansas/Mizzou was the best tho
Yep, amazing games today. The KU/Mizzou game was wild. Ga Tech/GA was very good also. Oregon/Oregon State looked like it was played on a pinball machine. One of the best football weekends that I can remember.
My dad went to USC, and I'll be, what, 26, by 2013 (Holy Crap)
So we can go out to LA in alumni style for it, and then we can go up to Boston the next year. Catch up on some father son bonding that never happened.
cheers... should be fun then...
You know what's going to be insane...Alabama v Florida in the SEC Title game...
Except for the fact that ND makes their schedules years in advance. I'm sure ND was 100% sure that Michigan and Washington would be that horrible this year.
On another note, I am so happy we got smoked by USC last night. I'll never cheer for ND as long as that idiot is the coach.
ND also has a habit of removing teams from their schedule when they start to trouble them. It started (as I recall) with Miami and most recently they won't renew their deal with BC.
Of course Navy and San Diego State were always going to be tough games.
If I heard right, ND's schedule was 107th in the country.
Yea those were tough games, just like those I-AA games are really tough games for all of the schools in the country who schedule them.
And somehow there were 106 teams with tougher schedules...
The only team they beat with a winning record was NAVY!
And they barely beat them.
This was after years and years of playing brutal schedules.
Michigan, Purdue are usual 8-11 win teams that both went under .500 this year. Washington was a decent team when they were scheduled and a powerhouse in the 1990's. So we should expect the ND athletic department to see into the future the schedule all 10 win teams
They recently made the move to ease up their schedule a bit but lets not kid ourselves here... most teams are doing this with their non conference schedules.
