    Hi Gregoriak,

Have you uploaded any clips of Bayern 0-7 Schalke from 1977/78?

I still can't believe that result!

Either the Bayern players were all drunk ... or the Lautern guys were doped! ;)

I remember that game well. I went to Sporthaus Schuster after the match and bought a Schalke kit and had Fischer's number put on the back. Was a great day on the Wies'n that day. :D

Thanks for the link! Schalke was unstoppable!

Bayern never really looked like getting into the game. It was a good pass to Fischer for the first goal, although the finish was a bit soft. The other goals were pretty good.

    Not really.

BTW, the elderly guy is not Ludwig Goldbrunner, but of course Paul Janes.

Another 0:2 defeat against the Danes 6 years later was surely a lot more painful...

    I concur

People always talk about how the underdog / weak German teams win competitions they don't deserve. The 92 team was one of the stronger German sides not to have won anything. The games against Holland and Denmark were quite painful.

Here's a clip of that game with English commentary

and thats not even true because those teams lose the final. The ones that have won have been the best team in the world or one of the favourites, except for 1954.

    European Champions' Cup 1981-82
Quarterfinal, 2nd leg, Aston Villa vs. Dynamo Kiev
    17 March 1982, Villa Park, attendance: 36,579

Peter Withe manages to hit the post undeterred in front of the goal.

    The worst miss ever?

I got this video as a present called Bloopers, Gaffs and Goals from my youth team a while back. It has a whole section on really, REALLY bad misses. One is from a Danish League match where someone misses from inside goal area...less than 1m from goal, dead center with no bounce, just a bad miss.:D It went OVER the bar, open net, unchallenged!!!

That would have to be the worst miss IMHO.

    EDIT: Found it! 1:16

Jesus that was an unbelievable miss!

I also liked the one guy who was already celebrating his goal until he noted that the ball got stuck in the mud on the goalline. Harsh.

Here is another 'miracle' miss, this time from the Yugoslav league.

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIa8UZ1S7yM"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIa8UZ1S7yM[/ame]

The forward stops the ball from going in the net. This is an attempt a seasoned defender might find difficult. :D

Wow....good find. That is a tough miss but still funny.

I show these to my youth teams when they think scoring is so easy. They like seeing that pros make the SAME mistakes they do.;)

Yugoslavia doesn't exist since 1991 :p It's the Croatian league (current season).
