?

What will Essien bring to the club this season?

Tons of energy, flexibility and a scoring threat from midfield. 3 vote(s) 7.3%
Some decent minutes off the bench, a trustworthy option to rest the starters. 26 vote(s) 63.4%
Spot duty but won't have much of an impact. Past his sell buy date at this high level. 8 vote(s) 19.5%
Give the medical team a chance to hone their skills. He'll barely play. 4 vote(s) 9.8%

Better than Lass and his emotions that ran wild.

WHAT? When did this happen? I read a rumour last night but i didn't think it was serious.

Good signing, i hope he can stay healthy.

Hasn't been the same player everyone thinks he is/was due to injuries and lack of form and at times didn't make it to the chelsea bench.

Anyway he is here now, let's see if Mou can get him to perform again.. welcome Essien :)

Alright Mr. Essien you're here so I cannot whine about your crocked ass anymore. So welcome to Madrid, may this move reinvigorate and motivate you to return to a high level of play because on your day you are certainly a beast. The question is are there any of those days left? We shall see my son so good luck and much success in your time here with us. I am rooting for you because your success ultimately is our success as well.

I think he has better feet than Khedira but I'm wondering about his positioning, speed and his decision making when under pressure, besides his health issues.

Let's see how this pans out. Rooting for him.

More likable than Lass. Hasn't shown he can play on a regular (talk much high) level for years, hence the disappointment from many of us.

At worst he will bring joy to the locker room being the second clown with Marcelo and quickly befriending Pepe and Cristiano. At best he'll go injury free and be able to bring us quality warrior type Mourinho loves to much, who unlike Lass (The thing he can currently do better) can make dynamic forward runs.

The only thing i am happy about regarding this transfer is that douchebag Diarra leaving. Damn headcase.

If he can stay relatively fit, he'll do very ok.

I like him. Shame we couldnt get him 4 years ago but whatever. Like i said yesterday, he is a much smart DM player than Lass and can contribute to attack too.

This may actually turn out to be a smart move. Possibly with his experience in the 'big' games in the CL and even better if he can stay fit.

Time for our top class fitness coaches to earn their money.

Let's hope this works out as well as Carvalho did for us in his first year here.

So Modric arrives and is driven around by Javi in an Audi but Essien arrives and it looks like he was asked to take the Holiday Inn Express airport shuttle. o_O

At least Mourinho went to say hello before he set off to the Man City - QPR match.

He did start 41 games for Chelsea in 2010/11 so hopefully, there's one more season like that left in him.

    Bahahhaahaha.

Glad Fox News is not covering this, otherwise they would spin some racism controversy n shit.

Anyways, I hope many midgets bounce off him. Welcome
