and to tack on to Juni's excellent reply - there's not really a 'catchment area' per se anymore. applause for a fantastic reply. i also think it's ridiculous to say an 8 year old has "ties to a club" at that age, ffs.
Rav (and his agent) are apparently asking for £30,000 a week: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...mands-30-000-week-stay-Manchester-United.html
Most U18-U21 England capped players have got letters through asking to confirm their availabilty for the GB Olympic team. Man City went public with Henshall's on their site.
Ferguson refused to talk about the issue at this mornings press conference. He did say there are no problems with Welbeck's negotiations.
Oxlade-Chamberlain confirmed again (if confirmation were needed) that he is a top drawer talent today against Man U.
http://www.vocegiallorossa.it/?action=read&idnotizia=30995 google translated... "Ravel is a great guy and all that was written about him is not true," so Nick Rubery Mana Sports Radio 24 on Ravel Morrison, a young emerging talent of Manchester United. "This week has been my home for 4 days, he played with my 2 year old daughter, helped out in the kitchen washing dishes or Cooking: It was a real pleasure to have him here. " Rubery us has pointed out some facts that were erroneously reported by the press. "The arguments with his mother or his girlfriend fights were normal, but were overloaded because the neighbors called the police. Otherwise it was just screaming and shouting. " Not even the news about his involvement in local gangs is confirmed by Rubery: "Ravel is not part of any gang, and what has been described as a threatening episode of a band that went under the house of an eyewitness, was simply SMS. Moreover, if the tone of the message was wrong, I can vouch for him that he would never do such a thing because it would not be able to. It's a great guy: do not drink, do not go to parties, but rather prefer to stay with friends. And if you missed some training, it is simply a thing that can happen to anyone. All I can say is that Ravel has so far been really unlucky. " Even the reports in the tabloids about the contractual differences are unfounded: "The only meeting that there was with Manchester United - Rubery said - I've had with John Alexander (Secretary of the United, ed), but it is not true that we have refused 58,000 euros a month. " In short, if someone wants to label as a Morrison novel Balotelli is on the wrong track, "All this aggression attributed to him was never seen in the field. Play fair, competitive with the right energy. Who will be able to get Morrison in his hands a player can become the strongest in the world. I can not talk of Rome and not know yet if I will go to Italy, Spain or France, but at the end of the season without a contract, Ravel may leave Manchester United, which the company likes it or not. And United would get maximum compensation. "
According to today's Sun four clubs are after Sterling on loan (Bolton, Swansea, er,) but Liverpool aren't interested in sending him out. Not surprising as he's had a poor season and gone backwards. You could argue a change might do him good though, I suppose.
He's been like that for quite some time. You'd wonder if these interested clubs had been following his form.
Raheem is such a baby still as well! Still only a 1st year (YES!). He has had a disappointing season to his standards but we all have our peaks and troughs. Not near ready for a loan move.
The way Sterling is playing these days you'd wonder if he'll get anywhere. On the Morrison front - he has hardly played all season (apart from the odd 20 mins at the end of games). Is he really injured? Or What? Does he ever mention this in his twitterings?
He was injured at one point but that was a while ago. He's not talking much at all on twitter. Not sure what the plan is for him now but Newcastle claim they were offered him but deem the fee too expensive and AS Roma have also claimed they were offered him but said no.
They have given him two senior games in that time. I remember a reserve game when everyone was anticipating that he would start but they benched him and gave him something like ten minutes at the end. He then went on a rant on twitter. At the time I couldn't understand why they weren't giving him games because he needed them. Hard to say anything else because the rumours about not turning up to train and other stuff surface but nobody here knows the truth.
Carling Cup was where they thought they could dangle the carrot to him. Not made a Prem bench once though but yet we've seen Lingaard, L. Cole, Pogba and the likes. I also remember that reserve game. It can only have been disciplinary. Not been involved in many other reserve games this season.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, Morrison wasn't even on the bench for the reserves again last night. Is this yet another "injury"? Campbell came on for Newcastle at HT - not much to report. United won about 5-0. (By the way, when I said he's hardly played this season I was including reserves)
I don't see much difference. Players are far more likely to get a game in the Carling Cup. The times players have made the bench in the league is mainly only to fill it and not get on the pitch. I don't think Ravel was even fit when Man Utd were struggling to fill their bench either.
Saw one tweet mentioning about some rumors that Morrison is included in the squad for Anfield trip tomorrow, not sure about truth. Looks unlikely though
Rooney (and others) is in doubt - that's why it crossed my mind Rav might just be considered (but there are reasons why he won't of course. )
I understand what you are saying with cup v league but still why didn't he make the bench for more Prem games? Those games weren't just over a certain period when players like M. Keane, W. keane, Fryers, Cole, Lingaard and Pogba were given the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere. Never mind lack of reserve games. I don't believe injuries has played a part in that. Its pretty clear when a club like Man Utd have tried everything to please him and he still wants to give problems that he has a mental issue that will stand in his way of achieving his potential on the football field. Just my opinion.
