Right. Pick your best 20 mangers in the World and put them in charge of an English Premier League club (for example)

    Result? Three teams get relegated.

Now pick your worst 20 managers in the World and put them in charge of an English Premier League club (for example)

Result? Four English clubs get entry into the Champions League.

    You get my drift?

My drift is there's no such thing as a 'good' or 'bad' manager.....there's just lucky and unlucky ones e.g. Sir Alex Ferguson (lucky)

How would he do at a non-league club with a playing budget from the proceeds of a few raffle-ticket sales as opposed to the £100millions he has at his disposal at Man Utd.

    Rhetorical question?

Oh dear. I seem to have struck a nerve.

One day all peeps will realise that the choice of manager is irrelevent.

It just depends on how much money said manager has at his disposal as to how 'good' he is.

The ref is far more important than the manger in determining the outcome of a game.......but shhhhh, don't tell the football media that - they like to thinkl the manager is important!

    Oh really?
    I think it's you that's 'in denial'
I note that no-one has actually questioned my original post.
Is that because they have no answer (other than to agree with me)

But hey ho, I'm sure Guus Hiddink/AVB/Dick Advocaat will bring success to any European club/country that they 'manage'........Er?

Managerial success is entirely random/money inspired.

I bet the so-called 'Special One' would have trouble at Scunthorpe United (for example)....but I don't wish to shatter any illusions that some of you may have.

    As if.
