http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0848228/ http://avengersnews.com/ Not to early to discuss this one, is it? Based on IMDB, these heroes/villains have been confirmed: Thor Black Widow Iron Man Hawkeye Captain America Nick Fury Hulk Loki War Machine Who else would you like to see added to that list? Ms. Marvel has been rumored, with Malin Akerman, Rachel Nichols and Alice Eve mentioned as the three contenders for the role. Out of those three I'd prefer Nichols.
Even with the caveat that growing and shrinking as a power is kinda lame, some incarnation of Hank Pym (Ant-Man/Giant-Man/Goliath/Yellowjacket) and the Wasp. They're pretty much archetypal Avengers and it's hard to imagine this without them. I'd be happy even if they just do the Wasp, they're a little short on females and I'd rather see her than Ms. Marvel, she's just kind of a Wonder Woman clone anyway.
The Wasp is one of the many female heroines that has also been rumored. With Morena Baccarin being touted as the favorite for the role. Though that might have more to do with the Joss Whedon connection.
An Ant-Man movie is also being worked on but I believe they're still in scripting stages. Edgar Wright really wants to direct it.
It's hard to imagine this not being completely silly. One of my favorite scenes in the second Ultimates storyline was seeing just how useless his powers would actually be. "I'm having trouble calling enough ants."
Ant Man was always defined for me by Garrett Morris in this great skit from SNL. [ame="http://www.hulu.com/watch/4137/saturday-night-live-superhero-party"]Hulu - Saturday Night Live: Superhero Party@@AMEPARAM@@http://www.hulu.com/embed/CW7yy9l6JAYYTeL3MOt1cA@@AMEPARAM@@CW7yy9l6JAYYTeL3MOt1cA[/ame]
Nothing like on-line rumor mongering. http://comicbookmovie.com/fansites/bleedthefreak/news/?a=26922 Supposedly Ant-Man has been cast and Alan Tudyk will play Hank Pym in his own movie and make a cameo in The Avengers.
The Avengers has undergone a name change. There's also a new poster. The Avengers Gets A New, Longer Title - Empire
The article got it a bit wrong. The title is Avengers Assemble. They're putting out a comic with the same title a month in advance. The red Marvel logo is just branding.
I think it's fine, it's such an iconic phrase in the comics and sounds decent enough. I remember seeing "The Avengers" in the channel guide as a kid and getting all excited, turning to the channel and wondering what the hell all this spy crap was.
Lenghty articles with Joss Whedon... Joss Whedon Talks 'The Avengers' & 'The Avengers 2'; Over 2-Hour Runtime, No Skrulls or Kree - Collider Joss Whedon Says 'The Avengers' Villains are NOT the Skrulls or the Kree - Entertainment Weekly
Saw the film last night, and it was damn good fun!!! P.S. You don't have to wait till the end of the credits for the bonus scene. P.S.S. Save your money, 3-D ain't worth it.
