no, he didn't shove arteta. he clearly *punched* arteta. it was a weak crap punch, but that's not really the point.
as for no one mentioning it. john cross has tweeted about it and the radio commentators also mentioned retrospective action.

On a different note, I am really happy that we managed to keep TW14. He has made so much progress the last year.
He is still the speed merchant but he has improved by leaps and bounds technically. He is blossoming in front of our eyes into a complete forward.

^ He has been surprisingly consistent over the last month and a half, and that's really as much as we can ask for (or at least what most of us have been praying for)

Comfortable win in a traditionally tough fixture. Happy day.

Gotta admit it was a good win for Arsenal, haven't seen them pin a team in their own half in ages, hope this is a move back to the invincibles rather then a one-off performance.

As for Nacho he seemed Okay, however having said that anyone gotta be better then Santos. Kinda amazed Stoke didn't give him a tougher time though.

you kind of need to be in the opposition half to pressurise a full back properly.

Right... I was trying to be more subtle with my wording but if you want me to paraphrase I will:

I'm kinda amazed Stoke didn't kick the Fu*king Sh*t out of Nacho and send him to the hospital like Ramsey.

Re-watching the game to focus on Monreal, I think he is very good. Very positionally aware. I like that he plays a little conservative. Just what the Dr. ordered for our Defense.

Monreal is pretty big. I am sure he can dish it out as well.

Is he? he doesn't look that big, certainly not 6+ in height, however I gotta admit I don't know too much about his reputation and I've only seen him in the odd Spainish game where I don't recall him dishing it out!

he's around 5ft10, similar to gibbs and a tiny bit taller than sagna.

You wouldn't eff with Sagna though. He might not be the tallest but he's built like a brick house.

Agreed. It was a punch, albeit a weak one. He deserved red for it and so did Shawcross for his "tackle" on Koscielny.

i was prepared to let that go as a yellow actually. i wouldn't have been shocked by a red, but a yellow seemed the right decision.

Came in cleats up with no real chance at the ball? I think the yellow was generous. But granted I'm probably biased against the mouth-breathing-troglodyte.

I hope he's a Hard Ass. Considering, as Boogie_Down pointed out "He's already busted a guy's head open" already against Stoke. That should show everyone Arsenal ain't a bunch of softies.;)

I reckon we'll make top four, not because we're really that good, but because it looks like an easy task the way teams above us are playing right now.

it looks worse from the side angle than from behind shawcross. from behind it looks like his intention was to sweep the runaway ball away to his right, but koscielny beats him to it. from the side it looks like a clear red, from behind it looks like a yellow.

Don't look now, but we're only 5 points behind Chelsea for 3rd.
