people need to come off this thinking, lol.

the league is a complete joke right now in that regard. The game is too fast and there is no one to put their foot on the ball and dictate the tempo. Its why premiership clubs are getting their asses handed to them in Europe.

great environment today at the Blind Pig for the game. definitely was nerve racking at times...

loved how theo played today, especially how he never gave up before scoring that 3rd goal - lesson for all the lads - play until you hear a whistle....

mental strength meter at +3 to end the year.

Fantastic effort by Walcott on his third.

It is a perfect advertisement for how wonderful the sport can be.

I am an older person, and have been a soccer player and fan for decades. I have been around. I have seen some good stuff. And that is one of the most astounding goals, (hell athletic accomplishments), I have ever seen. Lightning in a bottle. Truly amazing stuff.
Beginning with the dribbling, to the foul in the box that he could have dived over, to the defender going over his back as he slid on his knees, to the cheeky finish near post as he gets up and flicks it high.... reediculous

Shocked to see that not one, but TWO of the goals just made ESPN's Top 10 on the 2am ET broadcast! Theo's hat trick goal was somewhere in the middle (6th?) and somehow Giroud's header was NUMBER ONE!!!

Gotta be a Gooner cutting that list tonight.

usmanov would pick them up in a helicopter or antonov or whatever

isn't the city's property tax income coming from relocated rich folks avoiding the austerity on the continent, prosecution in Moscow, interdiction in Mexico, and/or financial regulation (though where that is I don't know)? the people gotta get some of that pie, somehow. good on you, transport dudes and demand some cheaper tickets besides

i take this back. this was a full on team balls up, every defender was out of position and none of the midfielders dropped back to help fill a gap or tracker the late man. it was 3 on 2 at the start of their move.
on seeing this again, gibbs was the defender actually least at fault for this goal. vermaelen abandoned his opponent to close down koscielny's opponent, and koscielny had moved across to close down the opponent of whoever messed up on the right (sagan?). this left gibbs with 2 to mark. he chose the man nearest the ball.
saying that, gibbs is still culpable for their 3rd.
