there's obviously an issue if you want a rb to be a winger and a winger/forward to be a rb. walcott can't defend and sagna can't cross. has anyone else noticed that 9 out of 10 times sagna doesn't even cross and cuts back to pass inside using his weak left foot, despite being right footed. this is how messed up our play is.
Oh sagna is doodoo BUT Theo not tracking back isn't helping. Sagna's crossing has always been terrible. Lamb, The whole right side is ********ed. I agree with you there
you've been watching Swansea reserve matches? He has not played a single league match this season, and has only played us twice in the FA Cup and once in the League Cup.
idk, I am leery of saying we should not have sold a player who cant get into the Swansea team and has only played 3 matches the entire season (granted because of injury, but then again how would he have helped us?). Maybe its just me.
He looked quite ok in the matches he played against us. He is young and I believe it is his first "real" EPL season with a club. I rate him higher than Miqel but whatever bro.
Had to post this. Great performance I feel. I'm not sure if he will be world class but he won't be far from it IMO.
How about AW tells Theo to just focus on what he is good at, ie, scoring goals and running at people and tell Sagan to do what he is good at, which is defending. Problems arise when Sagna is pushed up too far, puts in one of his "hit the player" crosses and players struggle to get back. Opportunistic overlaps are one hing but AW uses FBs as extra wingers. No wonder our CBs look so panicked most of the time.
