Cazorla worries me. Why the hell do Spain need to travel to Panama at this stage of the European season? Money grabbing twats

Good point, but I think you'll agree that this team has, for the last three-ish weeks, been walking around the pitch with about the same level of tenacity that most people at 6:45am have. If that keeps up this weekend, at least I'll know how they feel out there.

That said- I'm betting on a 2-1 to le arse. And for old time's sake-

I'll never forget that Vieira goal... I know i've talked about it on here a few times.
Watched this match with Bruce Arena and his bald assistant with the national team..
After Paddy scores, he says "Well nice 1st touch for Kasey (taking the ball out of the net)".

I'm increasingly concerned by Cazorla going down at the slightest hint of contact. Not that he's simulating at all, but I think he's having a tough time adapting to the physical style of the EPL. Also, those videos depress the sh*t out of me. God, we had it good back then.

Yes that was an awesome squad. But even in one our most triumphal seasons, we still managed to give up a 2 goal lead and end in partial disappointment. Love that last frame with the banner that says "43 years and you're still waiting".

Let's leaprog them on Saturday and never look back. COYG!!!

Can we just play two goalkeepers instead?

I don't either, I love the 3-5-2 from a purely strategic point of view, and my last two girl's teams played it.

That said, I'd like to know the odds, Phishy, on us playing that formation, because I'd take a flyer against it....

Yeah, I can still remember going to watch the Arsenal vs Bolton match at a department store (yeah, my dad wouldn't buy satelite TV, so I made plans...), and we blew that game bigtime. Keown was very prominent in that game. Little did I know what that squad had up it's white sleeves' the next season!

On a side note, the way that this thread has spelled "Totnum" is humourously close to the Korean phonetic spelling and pronunciation of it.

Dragging myself out of bed, would be the norm
for this match.....it usually involves me staying up all night...

...Though there was this one time, when I was at Arsenal for this match a few years back,

.......and I left for the loo, in the 43rd minute..

    ...never a good idea!!!!;)

However, for this one, I get to spend time with this mob in Austin....at 6.45am

    And I can't wait.

Looking at that formation, I'm amazed we haven't tried it yet this season. Though I'll believe it when I see ith whether Wenger will actually line up the squad this way.

This has to be the least active NLD match thread ever.

    Depressing.

I think some people got turned off by the constant infighting and bickering. I know I did my part to drive off cashflow. Mea Maxima Culpa. :(

If anyone is "lurking" - please join in! We don't bite! (just get a little snarky, now and then )
