I don't agree that we are out of the title race. Sure we have hill to climb, but this is the EPL. Anything can happen
Stop being pessimistic all of the time? Our run in is much easier now, and the same can't be said for the other competitors. Jesus, sometimes its unbearable
Good take on the conundrum that is Poldi http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ide-of-lukas-podolski-against-manchester-city
More like being realistic. We are 5 pts from Chelsea, but if City win their 2 games in hand we'll be 9 pts out with a gazillion goals behind. We would need for City to have a collapse of epic and monumental proportions to even stand a chance. Considering City are out of every other competition besides the league, it's hard to see them capitulate. I applaud you for being optimistic of our chances though.
Before the game, and after the Chelsea defeat, I was concerned City would go for blood. Instead they seemed reasonably content with just 1 point, towards the end. And we changed our playing style midway in the 1st half and then in the 2nd we pressed a lot. It seemed to make a huge difference. So I guess Wenger isn't completely unable to make in-game tactical changes. Our defense is solid enough this year, even with Koz out, that I think if we just had some more lethal attackers that we could win games like this. But if you'd asked me before the game if I'd settle for 1 point, I'd have said sure! Last but not least... Cazorla was MOTM for me today.
If the team plays with the intensity they had in the 2nd half, we'll be good for at least 4th place and maybe good enough to catch up to Chelsea or Pool. I honestly think Pool has a better chance than Chelsea to beat out City.
Call me crazy but I have a sneaking suspicion Liverpool will win it all mainly because they get Chavs and Citeh at home. I could be wrong
My MOTM was Gibbs. He held off constant pressure from Zabaleta and Navas for most of the 1st half with very little help from Podolski. And in the second half, he was a constant threat by constantly overlapping whoever was on the left. He managed to help pin Zabaletta back and force Pellegrini to sub Milner in and reinforce that side of the pitch. Now if He can only get past his niggling injuries he'd easily be the best LB in the prem.
I've had that feeling as well for a few weeks now. I'm very torn as to who I'd prefer lift the cup, besides us offcourse. If they win it all, we're going to have a battle on the transfer front. They are almost always linked to the same players we are, and winning the prem and having CL football can sway the balance in their favor. I have to give Rodgers and their front office lots of credit on how they held on to Suarez and developed their young players into good role players. I'd hate to see that team upgrade their defense and get rid of Gerard.
And we'd also need both Liverpool and Chelsea to lose a step. There are too many big horses ahead of us.
Honestly, I'm tired of crossing my fingers and praying other teams lose points only so that we can not take advantage of it. I hope Wenger sees how many days we lead the league and pretty much lost it because of lack of depth. We need just 2-3 very good signings that would push our current starters to the bench.
my late grandma is better than sanogo and forgive me if im not excited about going from rvp to giroud i dont want giroud as anything but a 3rd striker hes lacking severely but hey keep lying to yourself tho
GREAT NEWS: Arsenal hope to have Aaron Ramsey fit for the FA Cup SF vs Wigan. Outside chance Laurent Koscielny will also be fit. (Mirror)
