    Lordy, getting anything from this game is going to require waking the enite team up from their 2 week collective nap.

    If we play the same tired formation and produce the same lackluster display, I'm going to lose it. But hopefully the midfield and forwards finally start to click and we get a bit more threatening in the final third. It's usually when I've lowered my expectations as low as they'll go that we produce an awesome display. COME ON ARSENAL.

    Ramsey is out. I guess Coq gets a run out then? I don't care about the outcome. I would love to see the team put in a good fight.

    nice info RR... i was just about to post how insane it would make me to see Aaron Ramsey play in the 1st team.. it doesn't work, he is an attack killer.

    I thought Ramsey had improved a little over last year, maybe because they are keeping him out of the middle.

    I'd put a lineup out there but I can't seem to make it work.

    Meh, don't sweat it. I think Wenger stopped checking Big Soccer for lineup/formation recommendations years ago :p

    He's had a couple decent games. I feel sorry for the kid. To get injured, come back, and then get asked to take Cesc's spot? I think it's really hurt his career.

    When is Gibbs back? It'd be hard to watch Santos after his shit performance plus taking RVP's shirt. I'd like to see Theo start, but I guess we have to keep him fresh and healthy to sell in January.

    /end negativeness. :p Tomorrow, I'm back to hope.

    tbh I was surprised Santos did as well as he did against Valencia. I've been more disappointed in his offence:oops: which was at least a strong point last year - I think he finished up the season late with a goal from 18yds iirc. He doesn't seem to be as fluid on the ball.

    Life is short and lets move on...Time to focus on Schalke & take a real good REVENGE!!! My pick for this game would be....as follow

    Sanga == Per == Kos == TV5
    Arteta ====== Coq
    ===Coz===
    Theo === Giroud === Pod

    Sub
    Arshavin for Pod @ 65
    AOC for Theo @ 70
    Chmack for Giroud @ 80 (only if we are up by two goals)

    Thierry Henry's not walking through that door, fans. Dennis Bergkamp's not walking through that door, and Patrick Vieira's not walking through that door...

    This will be the first match this season I get to see live.

    I'm happy, but at the same time I'm having a hard time getting excited.

    well, since the current setup clearly isn't working:
    mannone
    jenkinson, mertesacker, koscielny, sagna
    walcott, arteta, wilshere, carzola
    giroud, podolski
    subs: martinez, vermaelen, santos, ramsey, coquelin, chamakh

    Sad thing is, I'd be over the moon if Mathieu Flamini, Alex Hleb, or Jose Antonio Reyes did walk through the door. We can make that happen, right? :(

    i'd be for this, but with Vermaelen playing fullback and Sagna playing his position.

    I'm afraid I'm not going to make the 4:30AM wake-up for this game, but will check regular updates on my phone while I am half-asleep. Big day ahead in terms of my own work, so I hope the boys put on a good performance for me to wake-up to the highlights.

    Man, if there is one thing I miss about South Africa, it is the timezone!!
