Re: The anti-River thread LOL Belluschi choker. I guess this is the end of Passarella. Too bad . I really don't care who wins the final. I'd be happy either way since Insua or Matellan will win something.
Re: The anti-River thread me parece que river no quiso ganar me parece que river no quiso ganar tiene miedoooooo de jugar con su papaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
Re: The anti-River thread Dude this is from half a year ago and I'm only seeing it now. But dude... I just saw on a Brazilian website about the Arsenal game. Isn't Arsenal almost a 2nd division team in your country? Or a minnow of the first division? And isn't Rio da Prata supposedly one of the big boys of your league? It's like Palmeiras or Cruzeiro losing to a nobody team from the countryside at home on PKs. Again, I'm impartial, but if I were a fan of Rio da Prata... ouch.
Re: The anti-River thread Arsenal made it to the top division for the first time in 2002 River is the second biggest club (Boca is #1)
Re: The anti-River thread Lol! It never gets old. Here is GW Bush once again standing at the Monumental with a message for Passarella:
Re: The anti-River thread LOL. BUt ASF, so would I be right if I assumed Arsenal de Sarandi is a minnow in your league? That it'd be the equivalent of a countryside team in Brazil? Oh btw, I just saw the PK highlights. The Arsenal goalkeeper blocks two of Rio da Prata's shots and then he himself ends the series with that scorcher that eliminates your team's biggest rival... on its home ground? Again... OUCH.
Re: The anti-River thread So Rio da Prata was eliminated tonight on its own pitch by a side who had been a serie B side for its entire history until 5 years ago? Dude, you couldn't make this stuff up in the Brazilian league even if you tried. I can't share in your joy because I'm not a Boca fan. But from your vantage point... you must be ROFL(your)AO.
Re: The anti-River thread lol yes we are on top of that, they are the team with the fewest fans in the history of the top division seriously if they get 1k at home games its an achievement for them. The majority of the teams in Argentina's second divsion and third division have more fans than Arsenal
Re: The anti-River thread also, this is nothing new. The same team ALSO beat River in the Copa Sudamericana 2004 That time Arsenal won 2-1 at home and then the second leg in the Monumental saw a 0-0 draw ROFLMFAO
Re: The anti-River thread Come on loco's cut river some slack, everyone knows they are focused on taking the league title this term. just kidding
Re: The anti-River thread Actually, they are focused on the summer tournament in Mar del Plata. Belushi siempre la rompe en Mar del Plata.
Re: The anti-River thread I can't think of another coach at River that can win 1 of 6 in the Sudamericana, against 3 small teams from South America ... and not score in 4 of the 6. Don't need to go into details about their Libertadores '07 run, and the GIANTS they lost to. They can always go to La Bombonera for a courtesy tour of the Trophy Room. 8 tournaments played, 8 moments of happiness for any "verdadero/de corazon" Boca fan ... River never ended better than 3rd in those 8. US$ 20+ million spent ... hey, at least they got to play 3 international home games again this semester. I will certainly miss DAP. PS: Apologies to all River fans for not mentioning the summer tournaments ... I can't seem to find any of that info. Please, don't hesitate to list them in this thread if you feel you are being unfairly humillated. .
