Issue 4 of the magazine is boss. Loving the Souness bit. For someone just a bit too young to remember him, its pretty awesome to have something that puts his career in perspective. The link videos are a great touch. Only complaint is the link the 84 European Cup final which I didn't discover until about 11.45 last night and I'd never seen. Needless to say I was late for work this morning and still a bit sluggish, even though I still have most of the game to watch.
The important thing here is to get as many of your friends to vote for it as possible! http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/fsf-awards-2013
The correct answer to the opening question Scholesy was - Homicide: Life on the Street It was the predecessor to the Wire.
That is the problem with RAWK, it's like having a conversation with one person. Everyone is too scared to disagree.
See I don't know why they think that! I just said that it wasn't that long a go when everyone was furious with a terrible game he had. I like him, I think he is one of the best additions we've made but he hasn't had the perfect start as some people seem to think. I like him, he's a great player but people have very short memories.
I listened to the last pod while I was working, so I only caught bits and pieces, but re: Sakho's first game, I remember thinking "Jesus, this guy really wants to impress!". He didn't go into a single challenge half-assed and was very, very aggressive. Center back is a tough position to settle into and lots of players that had shocking debuts (far worse than Sakho's) went on to have great careers. Off the top of my head, I recall Nemanja Vidic having an absolute shocker in his first game for United and Skrtel getting an OG in his debut in an FA Cup game. I didn't think Sakho was bad in his first game though. He seemed a bit clumsy and overzealous, and the result was not a good one, but they were kinda freak goals that went in. I mean, Shelvey scored them after all.
Holy cow, major announcement from the TAW boys: The Anfield Wrap player 30-40 hours of (the best) LFC-related content per month. Pretty massive endeavor there, @ScholesyLFC!
This is great. And I know it will be successful. Back here in the States more people were impressed that I met the Anfield Wrap guys than Terry Mac and Alan Kennedy.
I'm sure Scholesy is working on a way we can pay in dollars without the currency conversion transaction fees on top of crap exchange rate.
