    • Who?: Sergio Ramos.
    • Where?: Sevilla -> Madrid
    • When?: 2005 - present
    • He scores beautiful goals
    • He was the youngest player to ever feature on the Spanish NT
    • He shows passion for the white shit ;)
    • He does summersaults that would make Hugo "Hugol" Sánchez proud.

What is there not to love about this kid? :D

Way to gay up the thread there Fung lol .. :p

But in Sergio's defence, he did those pictures for charity. They were auctioned off for a lot of money.

*Time to ungayify this thread lol*

MMM zesty pic of Ramos there bro, the things I would do to that fine Spanish ass. If I had a body like his, I just wouldn't wear cloths, like ever again.

On a more serious note, best RB in the world ( and one of the top CB's too ).

When Madrid splashed 19 mil for ramos, i was like oh no, here we go again. buying for a high fee and he probably wont even perform. Today i stand ashamed at my thoughts. RAMOS! one of the TOP 5 defenders in the world. He's one of the more complete defenders with every attribute pshyical and mental strength. Needless to say without him Madrid wouldn't be where they are in the last two years. Love this guy!

Probably the best thing Sacchi did in his time with us was to insist on signing Sergio Ramos. I remember towards the end of his last season at Sevilla, Sacchi was in the stands for the last 7-8 matches and people where debating whether this kid warranted the attention or not. Did he ever!!

By the way, I think Cesc may have beaten his 'youngest to play for the Spanish NT' record.

While agreeing with, and subscribing to, the general mood of the thread, I feel the need to point out the error in the title. It should be ...
'The Almighty Sergio Ramos Appreciation Thread' ...not the 'all mighty' :p

Not much to say really (actually, too much to say), physically a monster for his age, won't stop running, most of all, shows probably the most heart in the team.

    Massive.

Are you kidding? Top 3 purchase (at least) in the last 10 years, only Figo and Roberto Carlos can even compare.

Re: The Almighty Sergio Ramos Appreciation Thread

Zidane was worth a king's ransom and in the end he played for only 2 successful seasons with us. Don't get me wrong, he's my fav all-time player and was a tremendous signing and a joy to watch. But in the big picture, he just reinforced a trend he hadn't started (it had started with Figo) and he didn't play his best years for us.

Figo I rate because it was a massive coup that simultaneously got us one of the best players in the world, put us back in the world's headlines, and screwed Barcelona immensely, changing the balance of power with just one move. Alma can probably speak to this too, but I think Figo's probably the second most important signing in Madrid's history, only behind Di Stefano.

Roberto Carlos needs no further explanation. Utter legend that determined the landscape of this team for a decade.

Re: The Almighty Sergio Ramos Appreciation Thread

Sergio Ramos and Robinho both came to us in the summer of 2005. We had to pay nearly 60 million Euros to bag both of them (little was known about how they would perform) but they have helped rejuvinate Real Madrid. You have to hand it to Luxemburgo, although he did sign Pablo Garcia (should be a rugby player) and Julio Baptista (Does not fit our system).

Florentino was the person behind getting Sergio Ramos, Robinho, Pablo Garcia and Julio Baptista amongst others.
