Good question. For 96-99, the archive on SoccerDB only tracked the goals scored in regulation and ignored the phantom goals. Also spotted that the 1998 Miami team had 2 Clean Sheets in 32 Games (6.25%) too, which is tied with 1999 N.Y. However, to "tie-break" these 2 teams, if the "phantom goals" are taken into account, 1999 N.Y. would have just 1 'clean sheet" that season, according to the sources below: 1998 Miami: http://wildstat.com/p/7401/ch/all/club1/USA_Miami_Fusion_FC_Fort_Lauderdale/ydate/1998 1999 N.Y.: http://wildstat.com/p/7401/ch/all/club1/USA_Red_Bulls_New_York/ydate/1999
Sorry, but some of us would never find it over there. I thought about just starting this year's thread for you, but it would not have felt right. In an attempt to tide everyone over, here are my calculated numbers after tonight's result. With so many games left to play, I have not tried to account for remaining schedules. I am also not looking at tiebreakers, so everything is based on outright points. Corrections welcome. Ismitje can't save you from my vengeance! I shall now never see the Sounders on top of the SS race. You have disappointed me for the last time, Knave! But wait! We're playing San Jose at home tomorrow Wednesday... But, then Portland in Portland on Saturday Sunday.. You have earned yourself a 2 5 day reprieve! Or, whenever. But I do like it as a stand-alone thread. The weekly threads can get really long and I'd be concerned about your awesome table getting lost and not getting the attention that it deserves. EDIT: Oh, wait. My crappy speed reading/comprehension skills strike again. You were asking the preliminary discussions in the weekly thread, not the actual posts.. I still think it should be in a stand-alone thread though. EDIT2: Gah.. I should have just stayed in bed today.. Dates all wrong.
Dude, you know what the thread title is going to be. I don't think you have the guts to go ahead and start the thread. Do it.
No you don't. But I do. Start the thread and I'm not posting in it. If you start it, you're taking responsibility for it. I'll do this when I have time. Or not at all.
