Kevin Mawae should talk as long as he ********ing wants to. He's telling the truth. I don't quite understand your post. IMO, it should reflect the thoughts of all parents. Much as I love to watch, I don't think I'd advise any kid to take up the sport. Or are you predicting that it will reflect the thoughts of most but not all? 'Cause I'm not that optimistic. I don't think it'll reflect the thoughts of most. He's not suffering from denial- he's just willing to mislead folks to keep this sport at the top of the table. It absolutely was dirty, and it was a secret. But you want Mawae to STFU. That's inconsistent.
Auria the players association agreed to a settlement. Mawae bitching about it after the fact serves no useful purpose. It's done move on.
No, he'll talk until he's tired, and he should. The whole "move on" thing is a way of speeding thru any legit complaint. If you don't want to hear folks talk, well, that's what your fingers are for. He looks like McWhite Guy. I think you're overreacting. And, IIRC, he's a Steeler fan, so if he makes your skin crawl now, just think of how bad he'd look if he'd never chosen the Steelers to root for.
I'm a bit surprised about both, really. Especially VY, because the Packers cut Graham Harrell and one other guy before that. Do they have a backup to Rodgers now?
They claimed/signed Scott Tolzien when the 49ers waived him. My guess is that VY is strange enough personally these days that they did not want to deal with him when they knew that someone, probably Tolzein, would be available from the Niners.
Wow-- who would have guessed that he was still eligible for the practice squad? Or did you mean Tolzein not VY? Or actually I wouldn't have guessed HE was still eligible...
They better hope Rodgers stays healthy. I see VY as needing controversy --like being the starter and then getting benched-- to act a fool. There is no controversy in Green Bay. I wonder what he could have done or said to make GB's management think he couldn't handle being the backup to an NFL MVP and Super Bowl winner?
Well, I was thinking of the whole suicide watch business. Whatever happened there surely reflects dubiously on that management group ( I forget which stop it was on) but at the same time they presumably were reacting to something in his affect which they couldn't understand. Surely you've played with guys who were functional but in some strange head space that no one could run parallel to long enough to be sure what they might do? I'm imagining that he's got something of that going on, because he seemed to play as well as the Packer reserves would let him. His numbers were poor, but not really the result of poor play. Anyway now they have added Seneca Wallace and let Coleman go. Harrell was claimed by the Jets and immediately dumped in favor of Brady Quinn...
I think that was in Nashville. He didn't do anything in Philly that I know of. Okay, now I'm really wondering why they gave him a shot at all if they knew his OTF issues were going to keep them from signing him. Or maybe, as I suggested before, he's done something recently to put them off. Who can prolly be a legit backup. Who will be starting but not winning by Week 5. BTW- Anyone get screwed more this year than Jimmy Clausen? Played one season (as a rookie) in '10 for a horrible team, then was benched for Cam, but not traded. Now he's gone.
