Please remember, while the information below is from the Official BVB Website, it is NOT OFFICIAL! Pre-Match information follows: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ 2012-2013 German Cup First Round Borussia Dortmund versus FC Oberneuland Saturday, August 18, 2012, 3:30PM CET, Weserstadion, Bremen I believe this is the first meeting between FC Oberneuland and BVB’s top team. With some fans and coach Jürgen Klopp being disappointed in BVB’s pre-season, BVB should want to try to put this match away early. I really don’t have any major comments on this match just yet. I hope we will rest the guys we can rest without taking the match lightly. As I recall, FC Oberneuland has provided some great German Cup moments in recent memory. We don’t want to become one of those. I still believe we win. But again, it may not be as easy as many are thinking. Projected lineups and other information follows…….. +++++++++++++++++++++++++ Projected FC Oberneuland Starting Lineup: Mandic - Adewunmi, Hessel, F. Muzzicato, Yücel - Seidel, M. He has been a Bundesliga referee since 1998 and a FIFA referee since 2002. Meyer has called 218 Bundesliga matches, 21 full international matches and 36 UEFA Club Competition matches. Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga record under Meyer’s supervision is positive with 15 victories, 9 draws and 7 defeats. Last season, Meyer called five competitive matches involving BVB. BVB won all five matches, including the German Cup semi-final at SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The other matches were BVB’s 2-0 victory at Werder Bremen, BVB’s 2-0 home victories over FC Scheisse 04 and Gladbach and BVB’s, you guessed it, 2-0 victory at 1. FC Nürnberg. Sideline Assistants: Rene Rohde & Florian Heft
The official BvB website is reporting it is unclear if Hummels is included in the squad as of 14.55 hours. They are also projecting Perisic to start over Grosskreutz.
1-0 BvB Reus 10th minute Hummels did not start nor do I see him listed on bench as available according to the Bundesliga ticker.
Close to 20k spectators at the match. That will help Oberneuland to build up competitive squads in the next years and hopefully establish in the Regionalliga. Congrats lads on a relaxed win. We try to prevent you from having such an easy run next week.
Looks like BvB players are finding their form. Im not too fussed about the Pokal this year, rather the focus be on the league to secure the three-peat, and the CL as well since this could be their best chance of winning it.
Well if we do well in all three competitions that would be just magnificent. Our lads can do it! And of course it wouldn't be the end of the world if we are kicked out of the cup soon...
Before the Cup match, many BVB fans were acting like they were ready to jump off bridges because of how we lost the SuperCup match. Based on that fact, I would advise you guys here not to base so much on a Cup match against opposition three divisions below us. We beat a team we should be and should look good doing it. Let's see how they look against Bremen on Friday and go from there.........

Looks like my dad, my brother, me, and a few friends will actually make it to the cup game in Dortmund. Fun fact is that Dortmund almost never won over 96 in the cup, would like to keep it that way (though it is quite unlikely)
Klopp: "Everyone Is Focused On The Cup" Coach Jürgen Klopp has insisted Borussia Dortmund will be focused on their DFB Pokal clash with Hannover 96 despite the upcoming winter break. Dortmund will take on Hannover 96 on Wednesday in a Round of 16 tie in the cup competition before they take a month off for the annual winter break in German football. Having won the DFB Pokal last season and considering their poor position in the Bundesliga, Dortmund are keen to stay in the knockout competition to defend their title. "Nobody is letting themselves think about Thursday and the winter break, instead everyone is focused on the Cup," Klopp said. "We all want to progress further, so we'll give it our best shot on Wednesday." Click here for the full article. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ My Comments: Our "poor position in the Bundesliga?" Is this guy crazy? We're third! How is that "poor?" If he means "poor" in relation to trying to win the Bundesliga title, then OK. But that's not what I'm reading here! But one thing he's right about is this is an important match going into the winter break. We'll need this victory to help with a possible "bounce" going into the second half of the season. Hannover is going to be tough though. Really tough........
2012-2013 German Cup Round Of 16 Borussia Dortmund versus Hannover 96 Wednesday, December 19, 2012, Westfalenstadion Dortmund, 8:30 PM (CET) Historically, Hannover 96 has been a terrible draw for Borussia Dortmund in the German Cup (DFB Pokal). Since the 1973/1974 season, the two clubs have met in the German Cup four times. Borussia Dortmund has won a total of ZERO TIMES! This is correct. Hannover is 4-0 against us in the German Cup since 73/74. They have won THREE of these matches in Dortmund! Here is a listing of Hannover's victories: +++++++++++++++++++++++ January 12, 1973, 1st Round, Borussia Dortmund: 1 - Hannover 96: 4 September 3, 1991, 3rd Round, Borussia Dortmund: 2 - Hannover 96: 3 November 9, 2004, Round of 16, Hannover 96: 1 - Borussia Dortmund: 0 October 24, 2006, 2nd Round, Borussia Dortmund: 0 - Hannover 96: 1 +++++++++++++++++++++ This is a streak whose ending time has come. In the last six Bundesliga matches between the two clubs, Borussia Dortmund has won four, drawn one controversially and lost one. During this period, BVB has won each of the three matches played in Dortmund. Projected Lineups And Other Information: Please be reminded these projected lineups are not official....... Goetze more like German Ronaldinho than German Messi. Any confirmation that he was his role model growing up?

It is tonight.
The last final? Replaying a DFB Pokal Final where Bayern got sucker punched by a Kagawa-inspired Dortmund 5-2? I'm sure Dortmund fans would love that outcome you've predicted. Unless, by "replay" you simply mean another matchup of Bayern-Dortmund in the final. Far more likely, I suppose...
