    He does that every year ahead of the start of the season. "I expect to win...." which would be highly annoying if it weren't for the fact that he usually delivers!

    I'm not sure. He's no midget but he can still climb which probably means he's no giant either. My feeling is that he's a bit taller than Boogerd but not much. What I like about him is that he's a real personality. Dutch television put cameras in the Rabo bus at the Belgian tour when they were watching Menchov's time trial. It was brilliant to see how they were all living it through with Menchov, Boom in particular.
