Well with the CBA if he should have to retire or whatever his contract comes off the cap. I'm sure owners will include alot of similar rules to protect themselves from these kind of injury prone players in the new CBA next summer. CP3 has only missed more then four games once in his first four seasons. He's worth the risk.
Will see if rumors of his knee being toast are true - hopefully not because he's a fun player to watch and we only saw a small glimpse of how good he can be.
Chris Paul is definitely a player I want to do well. He seems like a great guy. I remember seeing this when him and Kobe were head to head for the MVP and afterwards thinking, well it won't be too bad if Chris Paul get it. Isn't there a nasty rumor going around about the surgeon having removed his left meniscus? If that's true, I don't see how he can ever have a long NBA career...
Have you guys seen Collisons numbers since he took over for Paul? 19.50ppg .492 .392 .824 3.55rpg 10.00apg 1.68spg That's sick. That's much better then CPs numbers in his rookie year and would have been a lock for Rookie of the Year if it'd been more then 22 games so far. Maybe they should just trade Paul...
The CP3 and DWill one is the best. The two best point guards in the game from the same draft. Deron Williams 6-3 202 PG Illinois Jr. Chris Paul 6-1 178 PG Wake Forest So. Raymond Felton 6-1 200 PG UNC Jr. Nate Robinson 5-9 181 PG Wash. Jr. Jarrett Jack 6-4 198 PG Georgia Tech Jr. Monta Ellis 6-3 177 PG MS HSSr.
1996 wasn't too bad either. 1. Philadelphia Allen Iverson Georgetown 4. Milwaukee (a) Stephon Marbury Georgia Tech 15. Phoenix Steve Nash Santa Clara 24. LA Lakers Derek Fisher Arkansas-Little Rock
Oddly enough, only the last one to be picked won a championship. Maybe Steve Nash still has something to say about that.
Oddly enough. And Nash is never winning a championship. The biggest mistake he made in his career was signing a extention last summer. And people say they care about winning. It's all about money. Nash is the perfect example. Rich beyond belief and still chooses more money over his legacy at that point in his career. He should be beaten severly.
Respuesta: Re: The 2009-2010 NBA Regular Season Thread [R] Quick question. Why is it that Michael Jordan has just been approved by the NBA as owner of the Bobcats but the russian Zillionaire who wants to own the Nets has been wating like forever and nothing happens yet? How does the NBA board of governors work?
Re: Respuesta: Re: The 2009-2010 NBA Regular Season Thread [R] MJ is American, a Hall of Fame member, and GOAT.
Re: Respuesta: Re: The 2009-2010 NBA Regular Season Thread [R] Going to the Heat Magic game Tommorow...Should be good. We seem to play our best games against the upper echelon teams.
Respuesta: Re: Respuesta: Re: The 2009-2010 NBA Regular Season Thread [R] And? So millions of millions of dollars don't sound like a good argument to you? They do to me.
Re: Respuesta: Re: The 2009-2010 NBA Regular Season Thread [R] The owners vote on these things. Atleast the owners know where Jordan got his money and they know him owning a team will be a positive thing for the NBA. A Russian billionare owning a professional sports team in New York? Hmmmm I don't know about that....

I was at the Magic-Heat game on Thursday. 19 rows up, so pretty good ticks. D-Wade made some bad decision around the third quarter. Jermaine had a great first half, but ffs he had a horrible second half. Oralndo got Offensive rebounds as if there was no one defending. After we made the come back, we Jameer Nelson had one sick shot right before the last play of the game. I knew that if D-Wade did not hit the game winner we were gonna lose, and it happened. Some really bad shot decisions, and the some shots that should have been made cost us the game (Isn't that every game?) At least the alley oop was sick, and I got to meet the cheerleaders, again.
It's funny how after going to the Finals last year, and whooping teams like the Cavs, Celtics, and Lakers this year, the Magic are still underdogs to everyone. Dwight isn't even considered for the MVP race, and people think there's a possibility James will get the Defensive Player Award just because he makes a couple flashy SportsCenter Top Ten Play-worthy blocks... There's not one player, not one player in the league apart from Dwight that teams are afraid of on both ends of the floor. A couple come-from-behind blocks by Bron-Bron doesn't make him a huge defensive threat.
Bobcats recently beat the Magic at home without Gerald Wallace and I don't think you can count the first 2 meetings since the Bobcats were a different team. And Josh Smith should be the DPOY..even Dwight says so. http://espn.go.com/nba/notebook/_/page/Awards-100126/nba-awards-watch
Kobe Bryant? I know he's not exactly popular around here, but 7x All-Defensive first team and 2x All-Defensive second team...
