Anyone can be the Pavon of the Match...it takes consistency to win the Golden Oleguer. :D

    vs Getafe
    Drenthe

The first time I've agreed with Vicente del Bosque since he left Madrid, this because of Drenthe, he has made me feel dirty. :(

What comments are you talking about? The only think I heard him say about Drenthe is that Schuster needs to clarify his role in the lineup; he was excusing him.

He said he didn't have the capability (to be a starter) for Real Madrid at this time.

And who's to disagree? Drenthe has blown every chance he's had so far as a starter or sub, excluding the pre-season against Sevilla.

And since this thread is only half-serious :D I'll post without seeing the whole match.

How is everyone giving Marcelo negative points? I failed to see what he did wrong, in fact he stopped most of their attacks down that right flank.

How many times did he get beat?

Count the amount of chances down the right, as compared to the left. Watch how Ramos or Cannavaro is constantly dragged out wide, because someone is back. Marcelo misplaces passes, mistimes tackles, misjudges headers, and as a result, it is only fair for us to right the wrongs and place him in this thread.

Don't get me wrong, he was good against Werder, but tonight he was garbage.

And who exactly do you think deserves negative points then?

Real Madrid got outplayed...someone has to take the blame.

Sorry, you only get to allocate 3 negative points. :D

This is turning into a very tight race.

But that is impossible, because more than half of the team was horrible. We should have some exceptions :p.

    HA HA

This has to be the worst/dumbest/stupidest/most idiotic/moronic/useless/pointless thread I've come across on these boards - and there have been some doozies.

Maybe it's just me, but I just don't get it. Maybe I'm just too old to understand the modern madridista.

The whole point of this thread is because of players like Ronaldo. They would show up once every 5 matches, get Man of the Match and everyone would forget that they played like crap the other 4 games.

    People have short memories.

Alot of posters were singing Cannavaro's praises last summer after Fabio showed up for the last 10 games if that, even though he played like crap for the first 28 league games + CL etc.
