He hit a great cross (which I nearly broke a T.V. because of Higuain who should of capitalized), mis-handled a cross which he did a flip flap to get a corner, made two decent runs but ended up losing the ball once and getting a corner the other time.

I mean IMO, Higuain struggled all game (no I don't hate or dislike him), with his touch and losing balls, but he scored a hell of a cracker. Gago was pretty decent and play a long through ball to Higuain (which he lost control of, I think). So you'd at least give mention. Your vote was Drenthe and him only and he only played 10+ minutes but didn't achieve anything. Yet you vote Gago as worst? Yes I know he isn't physical man Diarra, so since we know that don't we have to take that into consideration when he plays?

Oh and I don't hate or dislike Drenthe, I like him alot, the same way I like all the others.

Which is why I voted for him as a Pavon. He at times seems to hurt the team when he isn't playing at his "super" level. He gave the ball up which led to their quick counter a long shot.

Half the time those commentators are saying nonsense so you have to drown them out at times. I mean Salgado gets ripped on this forum, like he was born crap and came through the youth system as a pity player. When in fact he was a good player (came from Celta Vigo) and has slowed down with age.

He wasn't bad but as long as he plays people will over-exaggerate anything he does like they do with some players pro or con.


P.S: nothing against you, but I'm not going to respond in this thread, we've "jacked" it quite enough already, lol.

This thread has derailed badly and I am taking drastic steps.

This thread is now closed. I apologize to REALFOREVER, but given the nature of the topic, we can consider the votes for the CdR game closed, and he can start a new one whenever he feels like it.

The only way a thread of this nature will work is if we vote and shut up. I am as guilty as anyone of initiating discussions in both the MotM and the PotM threads. However, clearly not everyone can keep it civil, either because they resort to personal attacks or they respond to them out of some badly perceived necessity to "defend" themselves.

And FFS, you no watch, you no vote.
