Due to being a cynical SOB and in honor of our former player, Paco Pavon, here are the rules: 1. After every match you have 3 points to allocate for worse players of the match. Option A: You nominate 1 player and give him all 3 points eg) 1. Pavon -> 3 points Option B: You nominate 2 players, the first getting 2 points and the second getting 1 point eg) 1. Pavon -> 2 points 2. Ronaldo -> 1 point 2. The players must be Real Madrid players 3. You cannot give the same player the max 3 points two games in a row. I will add the totals after every game and award the Pavon of the Match 5 points, the runner-up 3 points, and the next runner-up 1 point. The winner will be presented with the Pavon trophy at the end of the season and a one-way trip to the Moon. This thread will begin after the Betis game, since Salgado was unaware that such a thread was in the making before the Valladolid game.
Are you guys, YS and Oscar, making a prediction for the Betis game's "Pavon" or just have to get that Valladolid vote in because he was THAT BAD?
Fine, apparently these buggers can't wait. I will start counting now. So place ur votes for the Valladolid game.
I just woke up (yes I know what time it is) so I've got an excuse. However I believe that every Madrid player should be prepared for anything, and especially a Pavon of the Match rating that goes into effect one game sooner than anticipated.
1. Salgado I hope Salgado doesn't play against Betis because I won't be able to give him the full 3 points again.
I would like to spend all of my Pavon points on Salgado please...while many of our players played poorly, only Salgado looked like he didn't belong on the pitch. BTW, A+ with the thread and thread title!
Salgado I wanna nominate Schuster also because of his bad substitution strategy. I hope everyone will be fired up next match and no one gets the nomination. Hala Madrid!!
I'm really suprised Drenthe is getting so many votes..Salgado was obviously poor, but given a chance to vote for another player or give both votes to Salgado..I choose Salgado..Drenthe wasn't worse than Guti, but since Guti gave that one pass he's spared the list...If Drenthe's cross to Raul, or long ball crossfield pass to Robinho, who took it and shot wide of the goal resulted in goals he probably wouldn't be looked at so poorly. Oh well, the youngster has work to do, but the talent is there..I think he'll develop into a beast after some time. I've realized I am getting really protective over our young guns, just want them to be able to grow without insane pressure and criticism, but its bound to happen...If they make it through, they can be RM legends.
