Are we so stuck in our own arguments that we don’t even note the 15th anniversary of the massacre in Tiananmen Square? NPR has been doing stories for the past two days the past two days on it.

Anyway here's what's happening in Hong Kong,

My favorite pro-democracy demonstration that's been done in Hong Kong recently was last year (I believe) when they nominated a dog to run against Tung Chee Hwa to protest the farcical nature of the elections.

15 years since the PLA crushed the counter-revolutionary rebellion led by some angry mob. Long live the PRC, long live the Chinese Communist Party,
and long live the people. The counter-revolutionaries, foreign invaders and seperatists will be destroyed. Only then can China enjoy stability required for peaceful development and improve the lives of the people. Some HK people seem to misunderstand the meaning of one country two systems. It is still one country, meaning Hong Kong is China's Hong Kong. The communist party being kind and considerate, allowed the Hong Kong people to preserve their style of living as it would be difficult for them to adjust after 150 years of colonial rule. However Counter-revolutionaries, seperatists and foreigners with ulterior motives in Hong Kong will be hunted down just as if they were on the mainland. I urge the Hong Kong people to look in the mirror and remind themselves they are Chinese, the days of "no dogs or chinese" are over, the imperialists have left, welcome back to the motherland. Soon our comrades from across the strait will be joining our journey down the socialist path. Foreign powers attempting to break apart China will be liquidated.

But the rumor has it that the leaderships are going to rename this "counter-revolutionary rebellion" to something like "patriotic youth movement" soon. Is that true, shenhua?

No, that's what the angry mob called it. Hell will freeze over before the mighty communist party calls those criminals "patriots".

"Dr Jiang" is a counter-revolutionary. He sides with the angry mob who turned out in 1989. He also describes the incompetence of a number of provincial health officials during the initial stages of the SARS crisis as a "cover up" ordered by the top leaders. Seeing he is an old man and has served many years in our hospitals, we do not arrest him. The police will be keeping him busy during the "anniversary" period to make sure he doesn't get himself into more trouble. The communist party has no pleasure in sending old folk to the "gulag".

Did you have to type this, or is there some government program on your computer that writes it for you?

How could an old man get himself into trouble by talking? What are you afraid he might say?

Hey KC, can you still find that pic of millions of HKers celebrating Chinese national day? Of course something like that will never make news. I still remember when you made a fool out of that Germanshephard. LOL. Now that Ludahai has disapeared due to fatherhood, we seem to have a new resident China basher.

So why is China afraid of Dr. Jiang? What could he say that would be so terrible?

Yeah, those were some good old days in the rivalries board. LOL! So what happened to Ludahai? He got a kid? Is it the reason that he stopped bitching on this board?

My guess is that China likes to kidnap/jail dissidents when there's international attention on China to flex its muscles to the world. They're not trying to achieve anything practical by cramping down on dissidents, but rather, they're like a petulant teenager rebelling against their parents - they're saying "Mom, the more you nag me about human rights, the more repressive I get! Bwaah!"
