So....other teams.... Oh, ok, here we go...Chelsea lose a bid (must not have been regarding money) for a power plant site where they want to build their new stadium: http://espn.go.com/sports/soccer/story/_/id/8019924/chelsea-loses-bid-buy-land-new-venue-site
Ugh. Lots of rumors about Lewandowski to the Scum. He and Kagawa, with potentially Modric as well, would make me vomit.
Modric rumors are picking up steam - 25mGBP ($38m+). What did Chelsea offer last year? 30m? I really hope the Pole stays in the Bundesliga.
I just found out the US match away to Guatemala is NOT being shown on broadcast TV. WTF!!! I love the Euros but I find it absolutely fucking absurd that a US Mens' WCQ is only available on PPV while a tournament on another continent is being broadcast free on ESPN. Idiots.
It is a decision of the Guatemala FA who sold the rights in the USA to a PPV vendor. USSF had nothing to do with it and has zero control of the matter.
Harry Redknapp sacked/resigned as manager of Spurs! Not sure why really. It's Spurs. He has basically done as much as possible there considering the competition. Maybe Rafa will go there?
Sky Sporks News@SkySporksNews Harry Redknapp will reportedly be paid £3,000,000 in compensation by Tottenham, which after tax will equate to approximately £3,000,000.
In other news, the USMNT is awful. I mean, I will take a draw away from home in WCQ, but the performance was dreadful. I did like that Klinsmann subbed on Cameron over Onyewu. But the quicker Altidore finds himself not on the field, the better. Donovan was poor, and in unsurprising fashion...so was our backline.
You'll take a draw and be happy. You do know that Guatemala are ranked 85th in the world. One above Burkina Faso.
