The thing is, you can make this list whatever way you want and will find at least three players benched who are supposed to be in the line-up no matter what.
Let me first say that Martinez will get plenty of playing time, but I don't see his spot set in stone at this point. I could very well imagine that Schweinsteiger is going to be the 6 when fit, leaving the other midfield spots to Kroos, Götze and Thiago. I guess you can put him at cb next to Boateng but still, I wouldn't say he's one of the untouchables like Neuer, Lahm and Ribery.
Nobody is apart from Neuer and maybe Lahm. Not even Ribery. There is so much matches in which I could tell you before that that will not be the matches in which he will perform great. And Martinez - the much I really love him - there is matches in which he is essential and matches in which he ain't. What I hope is that Guardiola just rotates them in an equal way - the 14 or 15 that for me refer somehow to the first squad.
Any idea what's up with Patrick Weihrauch, I haven't heard anything about him in a while. Weiser and Hojbjerg have been given apprearences, but did Weihrauch even make the squad for a single match so far? He should be loaned out to some Buli team since he sees absolutly no playing time with the first team.
He doesn't even perform for Bayern II, all he has is a short mention from Pep back when he didn't know the youth players very well. I bet he's going to leave the club at the end of the season.
Neuer voted #1 goalie by the Federation of Football History and Statistics. http://www.sport1.de/de/fussball/fussball_bundesliga/newspage_828950.html
I just don't buy the type-casting of Lewandowski as just a 9 or false 9. I mean we only now employ one of the game's greatest minds in Pep Guardiola. If it was most beneficial for the team to have both Lewandowski and Mandzukic on the pitch together do we not think he of all people could find a way? Totally thinking off the top of my head, but I could easily see something "new" coming of all this. Meaning Pep creating or more like reinventing a system that allows for this. As mentioned many times here, the players in our squad are so versatile now and that is one massive attribute I looked for often in my own coaching days - players with the ability to play not one but two or three roles on a team. Lahm, Martinez, Mueller are just two of the more obvious ones. We haven't even mentioned the likes of Alaba yet as well as many others. I for one am excited to see what Pep forms out of all this. Should be something...
Probably. However, he was the first among the youth team players to get a professional contract and has also been training with the first team for a season or more. The management must have seen some potential in him. I think you are right.
professional contract doesn't mean much or anything at all, in case you don't remember a few years back they gave a pro contract to Fürstner, who plays in 2nd league for Fürth now
I get that, Denis Yilmaz and Mairhoffer also fall in that category. However, the quality of the first and reserve teams was nowhere near what it has been for the last 2-3 years. We had Lell, Oddo, Ottl and Dos Santos as first teamers back then. He had impressed Heyckes in the training camps along with Markoutz and co, and earned the pro contract. Hence, the expectation from my end.
Is this still team news? Kirchhoff's injury will require surgery. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...l_operation-kirchhoff-faellt-laenger-aus.html
I think shaq might be the stockiest player bayern has ever had, his calves are the size of bowling balls....1:36ish in the vid...what a beast
