Leverkusen officials have denied any talks and negotiations with dante..so that one seems out of the window. However who knows whats happening behind closed doors...dante has a right to up-grade to a team that can be a CL contender etc...but lets not forget so many have left gladbach dreaming about the same thing combined with false promises...just to sit on the Sub-bench and keep it warm and crispy Bottom line if dante has no love and drive for gladbach its better to let him go..no single player is bigger than the collective unit of a squad...IMO he would do much better in gladbach and under favre compared to moving to Bayern and such! Totally excited over zimmermann and rupp, these two are guaranteed to change the dynamics of our team...very mobile solid players..something we used to be very good at back in the day and also something favre loves to have on his teams BTW any of the old timers here remember..."BERN RUPP" ..now we have a second rupp playing for gladbach, this is a good omen Last but not least lets not forget Oscar Wendt..that guy is a brilliant player..so far ive been very happy with our new additions! Add boba to all this and it looks pretty damn good, am sure favre can bring that guy back to earth and utilize his potential for the team no problems! And to all you out there that are already fearful of our opening game at AA and bayern..we could have not had a better draw, mark my words..this may be our first win at bayern after a million years...we have ten times more chance to crush bayern at home on an opening game than any other time during the season www.fotobahn.com
The latest news on Bradley is that Aston Villa will not sign him. Apparently the new manager, McLeish, wants to move in a different direction. The article asked where will Bradley go? My thought is he may just come back to Gladbach. Is that out of the question?
His on contract with BORUSSIA till 2013 season i believe , so if nobody is willing to pick up the Bill on this one..then he has to play it out at the PARK www.fotobahn.com
It's one of the things he himself said was a possibility. But we shall see. He's the kind of player Favre would like methinks.
I personally would like to see him back. But I've got no idea how his standing in the team might be and how LF rates him... BTW: Logan Bailly got transferred to Neuchatel Xamax (on loan for 1 season). And the 1st training of the season 2011/2012 started today. http://www.borussia.de/de/aktuelles...]=2546&cHash=e0c8ae38d3093aef9fef728237ec9372
It seemed as if Bradley's attitude towards Frontzeck was poor and Frontzek reciprocated. If Bradley was a little more enthusiastic about returning, it might seem like a decent situation, but I'm not sure he is ever enthused about anything other than the USMNT. They might as well sell him now instead of lose him next summer.
More a difference in coaching styles between the US and Europe--in the US you can question things a bit more (and are often encouraged to do that). You also had, I think, the residual "Americans can't play" in Frontzek's head as often a German coach will choose to make an example of a random player(s) in a pressure situation--which Frontzek was in--but which an American player will not take kindly to.
Well if MB needs a challenge and something to look forward to, He can actually be part of a big thing with gladbach this season.Favre has proven already that he has the needed genius to elevate this club to higher grounds in the bundesliga. We have an exciting combination of solid youth players and weathered veterans...this club will be one of the more exciting sides to watch this season.Hans meyer has also joined us...everything looks the right way and in proper symphony to create the "Perfect Storm" .The proper view and know-how is finally present next to the technical depth and right players to complement that vision and implement it on the field, something that we have rarely had in the past 10-15 years next to each other and at the same time! How Bradley would get in the thick of things right now..in terms of competing with other players remains to be seen. One thing we know he has a big heart and can lay it all out on the field.Favre likes that and also he likes players that can cover big stretches of the field with their mobility..so id say if his " Marbles" are working properly " Upstairs" he should come back and join this great project that is in the making at "borussia park" www.fotobahn.com
this is what i hope too. I hope he decides to stick it out at Gladbach, theyve got a great thing going these coming season. Just hope you can keep that nucleus of Reus, Bradley, and Dante and i with the re-enforcements you guys should be sitting pretty. The most important thing was the desperately needed depth that was picked up IMO.
Make no mistake but the new signings are capable enough to change the "TIDES" alone, having a player like Reus added to the mix is just a huge extra bonus 1.Zimmermann 2.Wendt 3.Rupp 4.Leckie 5.Jushua King Add this to Andre ter stegen , Camargo,Mo Idrrisou, nordveit, toni jantschke, roman neustadter...and Mr.Boba and our veterans...GOD only knows how many different looks a coach like lucien favre can give a team, this is one of the very rare times in so many years we have had so much depth and tactical edge at GLADBACH...not to jinx it but the speed and mobility some of these new guys have combined with our core experienced players...slightly has the same feeling of our old gladbach that was more like a STORM on the field. Not counting much on dante tho...even tho no official requests have been offered to the club..the guy seems like not happy to be here! But i would really like to see bradley back, the guy plays with alot of "SWAGGER" something i love in a player and motivates the entire team..he can also score goals which is a huge bonus on top f al that www.fotobahn.com
You can only sell a player if there's an offer. How mentioned above, I'd like him to return back to BP and be part of the team again (although he's missing the whole summer preparation). But there's rumours that this will only happen if he's going to extend his 2012 contract for 1 year at least (presupposed he's really interested in returning). Btw: The loan deal with Joshua King from ManU is suddenly doubtful due to an injury he recently picked up. A decision will be taken in August. Well, if he doesn't make the summer preparation as a new player, it's useless signing him (in my eyes)... Anyway, I think we have enough good strikers with Bobadilla, Hanke, Idrissou and DeCamargo.
Maybe it's a smart way to get out of this deal, I didn't get it anyway. They were still negotiating details of a simple one year loan deal for 3 weeks... sounds strange. Maybe we wanted to get an option to buy, and Manchester objected. I don't see the point in a short loan deal of an unproven prospect, when we have our own academy boys waiting to get minutes.
Not only that, but our secondary-line that plays behind these guys also have good scoring instinct and ability www.fotobahn.com
You may be very well right, sounds very fishy.Oh well havent seen that one play but there is alot of noise around him being a potential great player at some point. www.fotobahn.com
The new training shirts look ugly, grey with tiny neon-green stripes. I fear that we'll see this ugly green on our new kits as well...
I finally got a glimpse of those training kits, actually love the "GREEN" looks very similar to our old school original PUMAs..and the grey doesent look bad next to it either...call me crazy its pretty classy...the biggest bust is that fat-ass yellow post bank on the center www.fotobahn.com
2 friendly defeats for BMG I and BMG II (U23). Our first team lost 1:2 against my local 2nd league club SpVgg Greuther Fürth near Munich (well, no surprise ... since Fürth will be starting the new season in 2 weeks), whereas the U23 suffered a 0:3 defeat against Maccabi Haifa (with our former guys Alberman & Colautti scoring). http://www.borussia.de/de/aktuelles...]=2595&cHash=3a0473e4587f782eee6d5000690f9d70 http://www.borussia.de/de/aktuelles...]=2607&cHash=baf6e8d0eef3dcce410d983bcf38aaad Btw: Bye, Karim Matmour. Good luck for your future in Frankfurt. http://www.borussia.de/de/aktuelles...]=2600&cHash=155d97621e152a94306a20fbcf55a555
The first few weeks of the schedule are out. The Bayern game is Sunday evening while the first two home matches are Saturday night vs Stuttgart and then Friday night vs Wolfsburg. I will try to start the polls in a few weeks. Would folks like a poll for how the season will go too? Also such things as first goal, first shutout, top scorer, etc.? Or are game polls enough?
Id go to town with it ken...this might be a very exciting season for us and having some stats and numbers might be a good way to keep an eye on our progress www.fotobahn.com
Moritz Göttel should be a good player, the best striker prospect at the 1993 age group in my opinion Since Gladbach have sold Baecker, i m not sure if young strikers will ever have any playing time here But i think Moritz Göttel is a better prospect than Kachunga, especially in finishing
I noted that Bradley is back in training with the team and was in the official team picture. He also got married during the break--so congrats to him and his new wife. Favre said that it's stillpossible Bradley will leave but he'd be happy to have him if he stays. Bradley for his part noted that he was glad to be back with his old teammates and will give his best for the team this season. We'll see what happens going forward.
Marcel Meeuwis got transfered to VVV Venlo. http://www.borussia.de/de/aktuelles...]=2635&cHash=0570887001b232289655c4bf93fd85c3 Btw: Our new Aussie guy Leckie scored twice in the friendly against Aberdeen yesterday.
