I saw him live at stadium when Fortuna Düsseldorf played in Fürth ... and he impressed me despite the defeat of his team (being Düsseldorf's best player). Signing the best 2nd league CB, is surely no bad choice (look at Brouwers & Kleine). Nearby, the guy is young (22) and a great talent who will get the time to develop at Borussia-Park ... so the € 1.5 million we paid to Leverkusen, are surely no waste.

Btw: The Fortuna fans won't be amused that we're apparently also interested in their striker Martin Harnik (Austrian national player who belongs to Werder Bremen). ;)

Borussia will play 4 friendlies against lower-tier clubs after the end of the season. Vs Bonner SC (Regionalliga), TuS Lingen (Oberliga), and the Gladbach-based recreational clubs SV Dohr and SV Lürrip (Marcell Jansen's home club) as a present for their centennial celebrations.

Uwe, you're probably the only one of us who's going to see Thomas Kleine live next season. He's signed a contract at Fürth.
Nice guy, solid backup; he's already replaced by Bamba Anderson.

I talked with him during a Fürth home game (we both attended) and therefore knew that he considered returning back to his former club (despite offers from Düsseldorf & Augsburg) in the case that his contract won't get extended at Borussia-Park.

Mexico are reportedly considering a call-up of Bobadilla for the WC. His mother is Mexican, he has a Mexican passport, and never played for any Argie team.
Bobadilla for Mexico? (German, with links to Spanish news)

    How is Fabian Backer developing?

He was the A-Junior league top scorer last season, scored 25 goals in 23 games. And this season i realized he played twice already for Gladbach's first team, and scored once in his debut.

I think he is a mult-talented player with good finishing n versatility from what i've seen of him for the U20. Should be an exciting prospect.

Sportbild claims exclusively that Löw nominated Marco Reus for the provisional training camp 30.
I think he will just be a sparring partner for the first week, while Marin, Özil, Klose, Gomez and Müller are missing.

Thanks for many great moments to Oliver Neuville, Roberto Colautti & Thomas Kleine (unfortunately, we've lost 3 very likable guys).

3rd keeper Freddy Löhe will go on loan to Sandhausen (3. Liga) next season, and the starting keeper spot at our reserves will be given to Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Seems like Gal "Alberman" is finally healthy and recovered from his injury...i thought he was also on his way out from borussia park....if he remains with gladbach we will have some great depth & quality players on both offensive and defensive end of our :Dmidfield
