So logically, Tarantino's project after this one should be a Sci-Fi flick or maybe something in the modern war film genre...Hmm, I don't think there has been a spy movie as well.

That's funny, just pick one of the popular genres he hasn't made yet ; I was sure he would do a western BTW...:D

Speaking of spy flicks, Tarantino heavily lobbied to direct a Bond movie right around the time they were choosing a director for Casino Royale.

I really hope DiCaprio doesn't ruin this film for me.

    +1

I always struggle to think of another actor with so little real talent who manages to get so many opportunities. I mean, the man has two facial expressions. :D

I'm also a bit disappointed that Will Smith apparently pussied out of this project.

I've never understand the criticism with Leo. He is one of my favorite actors. He is one of the few actors that will get me out to the theater and a lot of times, it will be on opening night.

Unfortunately, if you are a Leo fan you will have to choose between two movies coming out on Christmas with this movie and the Great Gatsby.

Watch a Tarantino Western or watch Baz Luhrmann f*** up a literary classic? Tough, tough choice.

The character he plays is pretty well written. It would take a lot for him to screw it up. And Samuel L. Jackson plays the character of his "house slave". That should make it pretty interesting. But he's not really that much of a main character either way.

I'm not surprised. There was no way with the goody image Will Smith has in Hollywood he would ever take a role like that. The Django character does a lot of pretty out there things.

I saw this movie last night. It's beyond awesome. It lived up to the hype and surpassed it. I think I look forward to Tarantino more than any movies that aren't Star Wars related.

Great acting, great plot, great movie. I don't know if it was the best overall but he hit his mark in everything. Tarantino is great and after seeing The Hobbit (which I liked) I think he 's under appreciated in his talent.

Spike Lee ain't going to see it. Says it's disses his ancestors.

Although he hasn't seen the movie, director Spike Lee tells Vibe that Quentin Tarantino's new Civil War-era Western Django Unchained is "disrespectful to my ancestors."

Lee, whose latest film Red Hook Summer deals with race and class in the South Brooklyn neighborhood, said he has no plans to see Django Unchained. He elaborated on his dissatisfaction on Twitter, writing, "American Slavery Was Not A Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western. It Was A Holocaust. My Ancestors Are Slaves. Stolen From Africa. I Will Honor Them."

Spike Lee has never been a fan of QT, so it would have been a huge surprise if he went to see this movie.
I believe he complained about Tarantino's use of the N-word as early as Pulp Fiction.

Spike Lee is a douchebag. I'm super glad that his criticism of QT has backfired on him.
