Might want to let you know that your lack of response to andriod users is a reason I won't upgrade. I won't use BS on my phone much, but it shows the overall level of customer service.
Well - I'm sorry to hear that and it was totally my fault. I mistakenly thought this discussion was being managed so stayed out of it. Not a good excuse, but there it is. I clearly need to take more and better steps to make sure this kind of thing doesn't repeat itself and have a couple in mind. I actually was going to ask you if you wanted to moderate the forum! Sigh.
The how it works part: http://www.tapatalk.com/ Supported Forums system: -vbulletin (which i believe this is what BS uses?) - IPboard - SMF - Xenforo - Mybb - Kunena - phpBB The Installation part is just downloading the plugin and installing it like normal on vbulletin. The only other part you need to do is to activate your forum. Forums (Famous one that i can think of) that use tapatalk: - AVForums (avforums.com) userbase of 260k users - XDA-Developers - OpenVpn But there are over 23K forums that use it. Imo, if we could atleast give tapatalk a trial period then atleast we can say that it was tested and it was inadequate instead of ignoring a topic that has been going on for a very long time. I hope i have been useful in helping you.
Agree with you, but might take a bit to sort out any technical issues. I hope those who posted on this thread will get a trial run when (if) it is implemented.
So I went back to Huss and this is on his radar - I can't make any promises about time frame or anything like that - but I do think this is something he wants to try - just not sure when.
Thanks for giving us the update. It would be nice for Huss to post here, atleast, he can post some of his concerns. Like i said maybe he could setup a dummy (bigsoccer mirror) forum and test it out to get a feel of how the process might be?
I'm not sure I understand the reluctance on the part of the admins to just activate tapatalk. It would take no more than a day and if they didn't like it, they could just turn it off. Tapatalk is amazing when it comes to viewing forums on a mobile device. It absolutely should be added to BS.
Excellent Point sir, i think this one is for one of the admins to answer. Like i said earlier, they could even beta test it. If they dont like it they can remove it.
As end users I think its easy for us just think the process is a couple of clicks.while installation and technical aspects may ne that there are a lot more things to consider.bigsoccer is a business and streaming your data to some other business is an asset risk. With that in mind its time bigsoccer played some media catch up.as a business you need to stay relevant.you guys really need to get on the ball and develop smartphone apps.its either that or go the way of the socceramerica forums in1998.
i don't even know or care about what Tapatalk is but I know that BigSoccer has enough members to survive without using Tapatalk.
Yes, but get some business brains lad, it's like getting a really successful niche shop to go online! It would only get better!
There is a change being implemented right now that I think is taking priority. Not that I think this should be pushed aside, mind you. I do hope this take priority once the change takes place.
