I expect we will see quite a bit of changes this summer. Servette, GCZ, LS, and Sion will add a bunch of players.

Young egyptian striker Mohamed Salah will join Basel in the summer. His versatility could mean he's Shaq's replacement.

I had read that about a month ago that they were looking at him for that very reason.

Basel will see quite a few changes this summer... Herzog or Colomba will probably be replaced by U-21 keeper Saladin

Shaqiri and Abraham and probably Xhaka are leaving. Tough, there is no offer for Xhaka yet.
    Huggel retires and Chipperfield maybe
Dragovic is chased by a lot of clubs without any fix offer so far

Fabian Schär should replace Abraham or Dragovic... Sion wanted to offer Dingsdag and Wigan Gohouri. The fact Dingsdag is not needed at Sion any more means probably that Grichting is joining Sion

Kusunga also should leave Basel, maybe on loan (why not back to Servette who have to replace Roderick anyway)

in central midfield Basel still have Cabral, F.Frei and and Yapi. F.Frei is not yet willing to renew his contract which ends next year. So he might want to move abroad.

Pak could be loaned out to Thun

Stocker has a few clubs interested in him
Basel on the other hand has some interest in David Degen and Petric

he's been on trial at Basel and played with Egypt's olympic team vs Basel in a friendly and overall quite impressed.

he will miss the CL qualifiers due to the olympics like other Basel players. If they get another replacement in midfield it should be a player not going to the olympics. well, maybe it will be Degen

With Basel standing to lose Shaqiri and Abraham and possibly Xhaka and Dragovic plus Huggel's and maybe Chipperfield's retirement they really got to have a perfect transfer window. There can be no Hodels, Carignanos and Burgmeiers. They've certainly bought a hell of a lot of good players during the last decade but also a lot of flops. One thing history has taught us though is that the best players they can find come from their own academy.

Grether and Saladin will be the next U-21 players joining the A-team
and probably with Fabian Schär another swiss youth international...
if they get either Gohouri or Dingsdag, they would at least know who they buy
with Degen or Petric, they even might sign two former players

of course players like Salah, Msakni, Hadzic, Ruud, Siovas or Piperno could become tops or flops

wrt Basel, Tembo and Aratore will return from loans maybe and they've also signed Valmir Nafiu

Leoni will play for Nicosia from summer

    Oussama Darragi joins Sion

    Thomas Prager moves to Rapid

Will Tembo be up for sale? They should loan out Aratore to an ASL club. Nafiu seems more like a guy for the U21 (dependeng on which league they'll play in). Good thing he was already allowed to join Basel before the official transfer which takes place on april 18th.

Finally the FCZ goalie situation comes to a conclusion. Thun's Da Costa, formerly a FCZ player will be between the posts. Will Guatelli still the around?

Darragi could be THE transfer coup of the year for a swiss club, well done CC!

    Prager never made an impact

How about Basel bringing Klose back? The guy hasn't played since ages but apparently his coah told him he'll be a starter next year. Sounds bogus to me, would be a shame if a player of his potential stagnated in BuLi reserve squads.

Could say the same thing bout Ferati but i doubt both parties are keen on that particular reunion.

What about Zambrella returning to Servette? I'd like that transfer very much.

No idea what will happen to Ben Khalifa. A return to Germany seems very unlikely, so does a stay with YB seem. GC? Lausanne?

Is Pasche ripe for a rerurn to YB? I'd like him and Basel's Kamber to stay one more year if LS don't fall down.

    FCZ:
Kukeli will join them on a 3-year deal. That means Gajic got to leave and maybe also Aegerter will look for a new club. Muntwiler will be Kukeli's replacement in Luzern.

    AC Bellinzone :
Contract extensions - Swen König (26) amd Lukas Schenkel (28) each resigned for three years.

    Luzern:
Moshe Ohayon will have to look for a new club. Don't understand why they took him in, sure, he had a good time in the Challenge League but since then he has barely even gotten playing time for Israel. How was such a player going to replace a Yakin in a club with the ambitions of Luzern?

On the other end they are interested in bringing in Ben Khalifa. Would be nice if Wolfsburg would let him be sold. After all, they've owned him for almost 2 years and he's barely progressed since his GC days.

So Xhaka has agreed terms with Mönchengladbach. Really nice to see him join up with Favre.

Got to question what Basel is doing though. Letting clubs talk to players way before agreeing on a sum!? They're getting cheated on a lot of money this way. They should not let Xhaka go for anything under than what they got for Shaqiri.

yes, Basel probably wants 12mio CHF and Gladbach probably would be ready to pay half of that.

Derdiyok is also linked with Gladbach.

while Ramazotti was clearly a very bad buy, I don't understand what happend with Gajic. He really has some could potential. Also. Barmettler has to leave FCZ

Leverkusen and Hoffenheim agreed on a transfer for Derdiyok, but not Derdiyok yet. Wasn't he close to a transfer to BMG?

Barnetta also will be leaving BMG, but still unsure where he is going to play. Newcastle?

I was speaking to somebody a while back who confirmed that Barnetta did come over for talks with us at some point last summer. He stayed at the hotel that he worked at.

It would be interesting to know why that one never worked out and whether or not we go back in now he's out of contract in the summer.

yes, the only rumours have been about Napoli, Lazio, Newcastle, Juve, Fiorentina, Villa and Wolfsburg being interested in him. Nothing serious, but if he's leaving Germany, then probably for Italy or England

he hasn't replied to Leverkusens offer and in the meanwhile Leverkusen do not want to keep him any more

Basel seems to want to have at least 1 argentinan player in their squad...

They're said to offer 2.2mio for Boca's Gaston Sauro (as Abraham replacement?)

they're also said to offer 2.5mio for Chiles Marcelo Alfonso Diaz (as replacement for Xhaka?)

GC seem to be interested in Swiss players who didn't make it abroad like Gavranovic, Ben Khalifa and Ferati

Lucerne is also said to be interested in Ben Khalifa as well as Abdi

No idea. That list would be rather difficult to reconstruct.
