Murat Yakin has publicly stated that he will not be at the Cup tie today. "I would really like to see Ludogorez live" he will be in Bulgaria to watch their Champions League play-off opponet. I would also expect to see a lot of squad players on the field today for FC Basel.

Le Mont - FC Basel - Postponed due to a frozen field. There is quite a bit of talk that Basel seems to think too much of themselves. There is quite a strong reaction against this decision, that it was one greatly pressured by FC Basel. Luzern - LS 2-0. LS can not score again. FCSG - FC Zurich - FCZ with a 0-1 win on a PK in the 82nd min. Thun - GCZ - Thun wins 0-0 (4-3).
I watched most of those 3 matches and I felt most were entertaining. LS was hemmed into there end for almost all the second half by Luzern now I got to watch first hand why they are in last place in the RSL.
The Le Mont / Basel match has been officiall moved to Basel. There is a fear that the field will not be playable on 5 Feburary. Le Mont is trying to put a positive spin on things. The president of the club has mentioned that many of the players are really excited as they will have never played in a stadium like that before. In addition a "Financial Arrangement" has been reached. Somehow I think that this will cover a good portion of Le Mont's budget.
Le Mont looked pretty good in the match v. YB (boy did YB look equally terrible though!), will be interesting to watch I don't assume though that Basel will take them lightly.

There will be a record set today at St. Jacob's Park. There have been less than 3000 tickets sold for the match. The current smallest crowd is just short of 7k for an Intertoto Cup match against an Icelandic team back in 2001.
