I'm not naming any names but there are a few people on this board that carry on about how the supporters section should be and going off about their ideas. Yet in any of the threads about the actual performances of the team they have nothing to add and probably don't even read them.

Just curious as to why this is.

I am not sure who this is directed to, but I don't consider myself as knowledgable about team tactics as some of the people who write articles and lengthy discussions about each players strengths and weaknesses. That's why a lot of times I stay silent in discussions of the sort.

But since we're playing this game I am curious as to why half of your posted topics are inflammatory or not crew related. Also I wonder why you enjoy baiting the Legion 04 crowd.

Well it's nice to see that, with the club sucking wind, the fans have all decided to turn on each other. It just gets better and better.

Actually that's wrong I was there last season. I probably won't be going much if at all this season. I don't know many people at the games any more and I'm not going to drive 3 hours to Columbus by myself to watch a shít team, stand with high-schoolers and total strangers when I can just watch the game here and then go with my friends here afterwards. You can question my dedication all day long but the distances I've traveled to watch soccer far surpasses anyone on these boards you can count on it.

If I see the game on TV I give my opinions, if not I read what others say. There are others who are at all the games but have nothing to say about the match itself.

So thanks for the criticism. You've made the choice of not going to matches this season so much easier. I'll enjoy the money I'll save not driving up to stand with you "loyal" supporters.

They need to add a barely legal amatuer section to their website. Membership would skyrocket!

I'd have no problem with 10 more HS aged kids coming to Barra. I started going at 12 with group far more rowdy than Barra. Guys in late teens/early 20s is who does most of the grunt work in every established group in the world. I mean I'll make fun of them or UltrasSJ as much as the next guy but that group wouldn't go to waste around Barra. :p

I'd give it 2 games before they gave up the no swearing goody two shoes thing.

And I'd have to hang that chick with allegiance to more than 1 MLS club from second level of RFK as an example :D

I'm just glad that there are some that are in the North end atleast trying to make noise. But, I think I agree here that it's hard to root for more than 1 team in the same league. Show me someone that supports both the Crew and the F!re and I'll show you someone who was greatly upset by last year's playoffs.
Oh, and the Flogging Molly quote in the sig, very nice. Love that song

I'll guess that she was the one wearing what looked like a Quakes scarf last weekend. If you're going to support two teams (still not sure how that works) at least wear the right stuff to the games.

Yeah the guys sitting with the Legion at the DC game in the Adu gear pretty much told me all I needed to know.

Is this the same guy who came down from Michigan for his first MLS game, and the Adu shirt was all he had?

I guess I need to pay better attention. There was a guy from Up North with a Adu jersey but he brought some good looking girls with him so it was ok by me. seemed like a nice guy.

My brother's the blonde kid in the background on the left.

If you gotta problem.. Yo! I'll solve it..

If you really do have a problem "naming" names, that to me seems a bit juvenile. MAYBE "they" comment about the team's performance on another message board. Or maybe they just talk to their friends about it. Or maybe they complain to God. I'm not really sure.

Hey, since the north end cleaned up its act from last season, more people have migrated to 137 to stand with either V-Army or Legion 04. Last season, the direction of the supporters clubs was so bad that there would be maybe 30 people in 137 and 138. All the sections around us had cleared out as well.

This season is quite different. V-Army can boast attendance numbers near 50 each match. Legion is pushing 25 each game as well. All of 137 is standing and some people in 138 are standing as well. They aren't chanting yet, but it's a first step. I'm very pleased with the results so far, by the end of the season, I wouldn't be surprised if all of 137 was filled and chanting along. There's no need to chant profanities. All it does is chase away potential recruits who don't identify with swearing for 90 minutes.

We have a vision and we're going to follow it.

It's about WHO you have and not how many.
