yes, he is going to HSV with immediate effect at Basel, his assistant is taking over till December then, probably Basel is going to buy Murat Yakin out of his contract at Lucerne
Logical move, too bad for Luzern though. It will be interesting to see if Yakin will continue his defensive style, which has worked with Thun and Luzern, in Basel, hope not!
Fink's assistant Vogel takes over for the moment in Basel and Heusler really wanted him, otherwised he would have gone to HSV with Fink So, thinking about the environnement at FC Basel and seen that the players and staff really seem to like Vogel, I could imagine him becoming a long-term solution Heusler also said they did not talk to any other coach than Vogel -another thing: Xamax hasn't paid the September salaries yet. This just reminds me too much what happened at Servette a few years back... I cannot imagine Xamax surviving the winter break, either. And Sion surely hasn't survived the season yet. Xamax (and maybe Sions) pain is only good for Lausanne and GC
If Xamax is sent down this makes the drop to the DCL really a one spot race, and to that, it is the playoff spot. I think that LS has the inside track on that right now, but they atleast have a pulse. GCZ has nothing.
October 22 17:45 Lausanne Sports ? - ? Thun 17:45 Lucerne ? - ? Neuchatel Xamax October 23 16:00 Servette ? - ? Sion 16:00 Young Boys Bern ? - ? Grasshoppers 16:00 Zurich ? - ? Basel Servette gets a weekended Sion this Sunday.
doesn't look good for Servette lately... The relegation would be played among Thun, Servette, GC and Lausanne if there weren't two cases which will have important decisions today and tomorrow because today, Xamax could be declared bankrupt... but I think this is kind of start of the procedure, so someone still could take them over (Facchinetti and friends). But 4.3mio debts are for sure, some hidden unpaid bills or not announced ones which maybe make it 6mio... then a squad which costs too much, especially a few players. But maybe those players could be sold in winter... so, let's say 7mio would be needed to be injected until the winter break Tomorrow, there is the TAS decision in the Sion case (should be tomorrow)... later on the the decisions of the court in Valais (SFL vs Sion) and the court in Vaud (Sion vs UEFA) which are both expected this week or next week
Lots of away victories except for LS. Odd week. Servette is in a funk, and really need to do something. I still think that Thun and Servette will be ok. FCZ should be better as well. At this point, my hope is that Servette stays in the ASL this season, and builds for the future. Xamax decision next week as the judge is asking for proof. the Sion case at TAS only decided in 4 weeks. FIFpro supports Sion saying that FIFA has a law which was discussed with the EU that players can go to a civil court. And they say there was a similar case in Cyprus and that such civil procedures are quite current in Brazil or Spain and FIFA hasn't suspended those players in those countries contrary to the Sion players
CC has appealed the 5match ban, so the players should be available vs Basel Then, the decision in the case Sion vs UEFA at the cantonal court in Vaud is to be executed within 30 days or has to be appealed at the national court. So, either UEFA has to appeal or execute the decision. So the next step here is surely before the TAS decision
Not to be deterred, CC has announced that Sion will try and sign Alessandro Del Piero. http://sports.yahoo.com/soccer/news?slug=goal-sionrevealsinterestinjuvent
http://www.footballgossip.org.uk/in...ansfer-news-and-rumours-wednesday-26-october/ Everton are set to battle Serie A side Fiorentina for Swiss midfielder David Degen.
My thought as well, granted it was agiant the hapless GCZ, but a good match, then another injury. October 26 FT Grasshoppers 1 - 4 Servette FT Sion 0 - 1 Basel FT Thun 0 - 2 Zurich October 27 FT Lucerne 2 - 0 Lausanne Sports FT Neuchatel Xamax 0 - 0 Young Boys Bern
Xamax paid the September salaries and the October salaries seem to be underway... but they have to prove the court they have the 35mio they were talking about
looks quite bad for Lausanne as GC will probably get 3 points for the FCZ match and even if Sion loses the matches with the 6 new players they still would be at 10 points

Lausanne-Sport 14 -23 8 LS is not out of it yet, but they will have a difficult time. Servette with two wins in a row is showing signs of life, but they still really do not have enough attacking options, especially with Esteban hurt again.
Saleiro hasn't reached a good level, yet, either. He would be capable to decide a match of his own, but hasn't showed anything yet in total, the whole league is underperforming... maybe the Xamax and Sion cases cost concentration...
