Let's use the draft thread that Mike Marshall started up ... since it's cleaner than all the pre-draft stuff here.

I'm not talking about the Revs going forward. I'm talking about how you referenced last years defense as being good, on a number of occasions.

Revs essentially get a B, or what he calls "Pretty Much Went According to Plan".

I wonder why Doyle said using Farrell at RB would be a "mistake" - as it is we have Soares, McCarthy, Goncalves and Barnes all competing for 2 spots. Is Farrell that much better in the center?

I'm pretty sure I called them basically average - and statistically, that's what they were - pretty much in the middle.

Had our offense been even a little more productive, we wouldn't be so focused on the d's flaws. But, when you lose by 1 or tie so many times over the course of the season, it's natural to think that a defensive mistake here or there cost them the points.

In 20 games last season, the defense gave up one goal or less. We scored more than one goal in a game 12 times last season.

Lack of scoring last year, like the year before, was a much bigger problem (and puts even more pressure on the defense to be nearly perfect and forces the team to take more risks in the desperation to score).

    Scott Caldwell, NE
    DeAndre Yedlin, SEA
    Dillon Serna, COL
