The article says the exact opposite. It states there never was any truth to rumors that Dos Santos was going to move to MLS.
Thè quakes and galaxy have no icon at thè top of their respective home town papers Crappy reporting is to be expected. The sports editors are boomers. You have to wait until thier editors are replaced by 30somethings
Not really. Dos Santos' agent said they were. Tottenham's management are the ones who deny the rumor. In other words: he said, she said.

Are you serious? I don't like attacking people, but it frustrates me when people lack basic reading comprehension. The article's entire purpose was to deny the rumor. The article's real title was "Tottenham deny deal for winger." The lead was "Tottenham have denied that wantaway winger Giovani Dos Santos was set to move to Major League Soccer." And yet it was listed under the title "Giovani Dos Santos was set to move to Major League Soccer." That is not what the article says, and so I think I was right for pointing out it was a misleading title. As for you saying it is "he said, she said"...the situation might be, but the article is not. The article only obliquely referenced the agent claiming MLS clubs were interested in order to provide context for the denial. Let me use a different example, just for comparison: Death Panels Were A Part of Obamacare That's a link to an article in the New York Times. The actual title is "False ‘Death Panel’ Rumor Has Some Familiar Roots" Of course, at one point it does reference that the rumor began with Sarah Palin. Using your reading comprehension skills, the title I gave it is reasonable, because it's a "he said, she said" situation, despite the fact that the article has a completely different slant. So to sum up: I am right, and you are wrong.
I guess if it makes you feel better to think that way, more power to you. I still stand by my statement that "the article" said both things.
