We should win the Gold Cup next year with our best team.. I have a feeling Chicharito will have a great season with his new club and it will benefit the NT like 2011.

the copa america was the reason i started to follow the NT, that 1993. I will always prefer copa america over the mickey mouse cup.

 

The fmf is sending the best team to the nad/gold cup because they will want to play in the confeds cup.

To me confeds means shit but I know to a lot of people means a lot so they will go for the win at the gold cup to trigger the game vs nads for the right to play in russia 2017, and they will not be allowed to take the euro boys to both.

keep in mind leagues are only required to release players that are representing their national team in their respective confederation tournament(gold cup), not an invitational tournament(applicable to mexico)...we also have to keep in mind that from copa america 2007 and anything before that, the dependency on exported players was not as high as the dependency on domestic players. the liga muy equis prefers that money from tv ratings over doing preseason with their players... those leagues in europe arent getting anything out of the copa america so they could care less.....

 

Bump. Taking a shot in the dark, and thinking he uses most of the wc base for the Copa Oro (Except the ones that seem to be the odd man out). I'm guessing he doesn't use both Corona and Ochoa in one tourney as well.

 

But Maza said he was gonna retire from the NT after the WC..

nd what about Davila & JDS if they get 1st Division ball in Spain (WHICH IS LIKELY) you don't think they make the Oro 23 ?

 

Ohshi, I forgot about Tecatito, in fact I was short a spot in the CA list. Good looking out compadre. JDS is in my CA list though. As for Davila he's a lost cause. This list really isn't my opinion, its what I think Piojo would do. Otherwise I would send the really good players to Copa America.

Will there be an August one? I'd love to play a top team at Azteca again (Germany, Argentina). France will be free since they're playing the Euros.

 

Probably not in August but in September forsure, hopefully its a good rival
