So sexy that pic is...I wonder if we could get navy/white flags with the logo in the center like that in the ProShop?

If we do move into 142, that would also be made a standing area.

The window clip detaches, and thus the flag is now just a flag. ;)

    Thanks Brian.

Thats one of the reasons why I got this type of car flag, because it is legal to bring into Gillette.

    Bump.

So, with the Riders annual meeting this Saturday, should we expect any ideas to come together that have been suggested.

I've spoken with at least one member about a tifo/banner idea. I think he wants to bring it up at the meeting.

For the tailgates, I am planning on buying something along these lines to give the Riders tailgate a more noticeable presence.

Pothole Pete has a nice home-made version of this I have been meaning to copy for a while, but keep forgetting. Track him down at the tailgate and you can get the specs and save some cash! Either way, tall flags rule!

maybe this has been said.....but the fort needs to be moved to midfield like in DC...It should be on tv throughout the game, and the price should be the same!!!

Yeah, that is never going to happen. It has been discussed numerous times.

When life gives you lemons; you make lemonade. Most of us know what works, what doesn't work, and what needs to improve in The Fort. Let's focus on that.

i am NOT paying 2x as much as i am now. and the front office wouldn't lose money at great seats just to help ATMOSPHERE. never going to happen.

Well they could move us to the corner and we'd be paying $6 more a ticket, which I wouldn't complain about. However, there are a ton of reasons I could give for why they won't move us, and I don't want to go into them.

The corner is still the same price even though it is assigned seating, because that's what I have now Section 103.

Would people pay $20-22 a game for sideline seats if it meant a concentration of supporters like DC has or what KC did last season?

    I'm just curious.

I would as well. The Revs have stated they have two concerns with moving us to midfield. Actually three.

One is the Presidents Club people.

Two is the seats would have to be sold at Cat I prices. People wouldn't just be able to come and join us.

Three is they'd then have to open up concessions and set up security over there.

This is pretty much a no go.

What do you mean open up concessions? Are you talking about the other side of the stadium?

Regarding the prices, they could still move us to the corner, which as Karen stated is still Category III.

IMO moving to the corner would be stupid...I would pay CAT I to move to midfield but we'd lose too many people...Staying in the same spot is really our only decent option....

If they kept the seats in the other end of the stadium all year I'd rather move behind the other goal...for sound purposes but I don't see that happening either...

Why would it have to be midfield?

Negotiation point: The outer sections in CAT I are usually very sparse.

They would never bend on the price of their best seats. Getting a setup similar to The Cauldron would be more realistic. However, we would have to prove to the team that such a setup is a benefit for them.

One of the major reasons to move to the sideline is to have atmosphere you can see on tv.

It would take a serious proposal backed up by serious commitments from a good number of STH's, a ticket agent (there would have to be a way to sell individual tickets to the section), and one or more MR board members to lead it. It would also take the Revs to adjust their seating structure to accommodate a specialized section.

Not too far fetched, but it would require some serious work to set up.

Wait, which side of the field are you talking about? I was talking about moving to midfield on the empty side of the stadium.

I was referring to a sideline move. I know the Revs aren't just going to throw midfield at us or open up a new side on the cheap.

    Ah OK.

Moving to the sideline (say Section 103, just to pick a random one) ... we could probably do that. I'd think though that we wouldn't be able to get seats near the bottom of the section, so we'd start being pushed upwards. I'm not sure how many people would like that.

Plus the fun of making fun of a Meola would be slightly taken away.
