http://www.29-95.com/music/story/sugarland-play-bbva-compass-stadium August 26. They just played at the Rodeo too.
If they use the same system as Toyota Park, they cover the pitch area with a panel system that protects the pitch and lets it breathe.
Let's see: Compass Stadium schedule: Saturday, August 25: Dynamo v. Toronto Sunday, August 26: Sugarland concert Wednesday, August 29: Possible CCL game Thursday, September 6: Dynamo v. Real Salt Lake Saturday, September 15: TSU v. Jackson State Wednesday, September 19: possible CCL game Saturday, September 22: TSU v. Alabama A&M Wednesday, September 26: possible CCL game Saturday, September 29: Dynamo v. New England Except for the possible CCL game (which is only a 1 in 3 chance of being a home game) there would be 10 days in between the concert and the next home game. Not bad. And the rest of September is not too bad. Basically one game a week with the possibility of one or two CCL games.
I was disappointed at the concert. Would've loved some classic rock, but I'm glad there is a nice Dynamo and Sugarland fan overlap, according to my Twitter and Facebook.
i'm more concerned with the eardrums of the concert attendees taking a beating from the bad music that day.
Roger Waters is going to perform The Wall again at Toyota Center in May. That would have been a good 1st concert. Better if he let the pig loose like he did at The Woodlands a few years back.
The Vote Obama pig? lol. That was a great concert. I was looking at prices for the Toyota Center performance and they seemed way too steep for ONE performer.
How bad? I didn't catch The Wall show last time, but I paid $60 bucks for a lawn seat at the Woodlands show when he performed Dark Side of the Moon. One of the two best shows I've seen though. The other of course being the Waters-less Pink Floyd at Rice Stadium in 1994.
$55 for the cheap seats which ends up being around $70 plus parking, but those aren't available anymore so the cheapest ones are $100 and that comes out to $144 with parking and convenience charges.
Didn't mention the band will play in the other stadium opening up this year, ya know, the Sugar Land Skeeters new home.
