The performances by this team have been awful but normally six points get you thru. The talent is there but Trobbiani is a clown. He has put enormous pressure on these players.1-0 will do v Bolivia and the crowd might fo enough v a Colombian side who hopefully will qualified.

Trouble is, even if we beat Bolivia and Colombia (it doesn't seem possible playing this way), the other two teams will surely agree to draw, thus leaving us out.

Chile (with a draw against Paraguay) 7-12 pts
Paraguay (beating Bolivia, and draw against Chile) 7-9 pts
    Colombia (beating Bolivia) 6-12 pts
    ----------------------
    Argentina 0-6 pts

Doesn't the top 3 from each side progress forward.

    Never mind, I see.

To say I am deceived by the pibes is understating it.

I really thought this was a good group... I think it really could be a bleak future for the selección argentina. Luckily, Messi is 25 and has 10 years left of playing if not, I would be quite worried

The midfield and upfront are decent. Lanzini, Centurion , Vietto and Magallan have all played in the top division and without a problem.

It's the coaching .It is terrible. I don't know what this clown was thinking of playing Lanzini and Alan Ruiz at the same time and dropping several players and bringing in others ie Iturbe.

They did okay in the Quadrangular:

The talent is there as we have seen when coached properly like Lamela as opposed to his time with Almeyda and several others. If Icardi for example had been available that would have been nice.

I know Argentinos Juniors are not in great form but Iniguez has been playing reasonably for a youngster but was not considered. Honestly Trobbiani should not be allowed to coach a pub team. Same as with Maradona. It's the fat mafioso and his new best mate Bilardo who make the decisions and they are to blame.

Remember every national team in the world is modernizing it's youth programmes but this bastardo seems to think Argentina will remain at the top by virtue of name alone. It doesn't work like that. It isn't surprising because the bastardo has failed to address any of the underlying problems in Argentine football.

Clubs being ripped off by agents and European clubs, crowd violence, infrastructure, the structure of the national competition itself which places a huge burden on coaches and doesn't allow them time to develop anything.

In any field one cannot afford to be complacent as otherwise your competitors will catch up to you. So long as this bastardo has his Swiss bank account, fingers in many pies and his trouble making position at FIFA he is quite happy.

With Chile beating Colombia two wins might still be enough. Straws clutching at also come to mind.

They also need if they can beat Bolivia win by three to improve the goal difference.

Gianetti has been dropped unsurprisingly. I think a drunk snail has more pace. And Iturbe also removed...... A miracle.

Cavallaro scores but disallowed. He is booked. He in actual fact chested the ball. Dumb linesman didn't assist the referee.

We have a pillock of a commentator who describes this Argentina side as lacking in talent. It doesn't lack talent just a decent coach.

Bolivia have scored...... Need a miracle now. They can now sit and defend and as this team has trouble scoring against 10 and even 9 men well......

True. I feel sorry for them in a way. Much like the full seleccion under Maradona and Batista. Why he has dropped Centurion is a mystery. They look short of confidence.

It's not, but this is arguably worst than the 2009 team. At least with that team, Salvio was on fire.

We went from playing the U20 final in 2001 to this.

At least under Diego, he was nuts and all, but we were scoring goals.

True. Diego at least had charisma. Trobbiani has all the charisma of a wooden fence and the coaching ability of a tree.
