Well, the openning match ended in a 1-1 draw between us and Paraguay. It was an entertaining match, surely for a first match, and the result made justice. We were the better team in the first half, Joao was very good along with Miranda who was subbed at the 30th minute due to injury and Gustavo Torres who made agood impression. We missed couple of clear chances and paid with a mistake on defense which Jesus Medina made it 0-1 to Paraguay at the 60th minute. Gustavo Torres with a great goal equalised 3 minutes later, but Paraguay was a bit more dangerous in the second half and could have won, but Ivan Arboleda did a great job had couple of good saves. Nadie esta hablando del sub 17? Empatamos vs Ecuador, despues nos toca vs Venezuela y al final Argentina (que solo ha ganado 1 partido de 3 y la prox fecha descansa), el ultimo partido Arg necesitara esos 3 puntos como nosotros tambien, asi que el partido sera a muerte

They don't play smart, they have serious lack of definition and because of that we are with 3 draws in 3 matches, scored 1 goals in 270 minutes. We still can qualify, but we need a win over Argentina and according our performance so far, it's not going to happen. Joao was weak today, but I also don't like his selfishness, when he tries to score everytime instead of passing to an open man, and Gustavo Torres also prefer to score other then to pass for a better chance. On 65th minute, Kevin Cardona entered to the game and I was very impressed. This playmaker reminded me a lot of his brother, Edwin and he gave some great passes that the others didn't use well. But he was the difference because when he entered, we started to play much more smart. Honestly we don't deserve to qualify according our performance, but maybe if we will, we'll play much better in the second stage just like the sub-20.
Yes, he is very good, he was the best player of Paraguay along with Jesus Medina vs. Colombia. Yesterday he scored a golazo in free kick vs. Ecuador and Medina added two more (Medina was the one who scored vs. Colombia as well). Both of them are the top scorers of the tournament with 3 goals each, surely players to follow up after in the next years.
I don't think that I saw Colombia so selfish in this age in the past 10 years. It seems that Joao and Torres want to beat the opponent by themselves, barely pass the ball. I hope that Joao will stay with his feet on the ground even though he is a "Chelsea player", because I have a strong feeling that he will end up like Pino....
