Why not just call it the Falcons? Than it would be Atlanta Athletic Club Falcons. But, I still want Olympic.
Atlanta Kaiser FC? After the Kaiser Chiefs who used our name... We can take the other part of their name... Still prefer other options but it is interesting
I could imagine naming them the "Atlanta Talons". It keeps the connection to the Falcons without using the Falcons name.
Don't know why I've taken such a personal interest in your club's name, but I really like Olympic ATL. It's different and represents your city well.

I don't think anybody can use Olympians either. If I remember right it is a federal law. There was a great band called the Olympic Hopefuls and the OCC asked them to change it. They asked about the Olympians? Same thing but I don't know for sure.
I am pretty sure the NFL holds the TM on Atlanta Falcons so there is no way that could be the team name, not to mention the marketing quagmire that would put an expansion MLS team. Also I have heard rumors of the Blank group buying up domains usinsing the word Firebirds. So the cheese minor league baseball team name could very well be the one we end up with.
Looked up AtlantaFirebirds.com and AtlantaFirebirdsFC.com on Whois database. The first one has been registered since 2009, probably by the guy on these threads who keeps pushing the name. The second one is still available. Don't know what other domains they would recently be registering. I agree it's a cheesy name.
Real Sporting Atlante City United Firebirds FC Atlanta Atlantic Atlanteans SC (crest can be Namor's head on Aquaman's body holding a trident) Personally, I like Talons SC (or FC) the best from what I've seen here.
