    Guate 1- Honduras 1

We lost our momentum and control the second half and got very lucky that we didn't lose 2-1

Good lookin out Evolute. From the sounds if it our boys were gassed with 15 minutes left. The coach was very disappointed with the play of the team. That doesnt bode well for us

Guatemala and Costa Rica qualify joining Honduras as El Salvador beat Nicaragua in their last game.

The 12 CONCACAF teams that will fight for 4 World Cup spots in april in Panama are: JAM, CUB, HAI, TRI, BAR, PAN, HON, CRC, GUA, CAN, MEX, USA

The most qualified coach for the job would be Tono Garcia, head coach of Achik'. That would be the most logical hire since he has produced the most U-17 national team players.

However, this makes too much sense and Fedefut's main goal isn't advancing futbol in Guatemala so much as it is stealing the most money. Expect the new hire to be another former player schmuck who's in the back pockets of Bryan Jimenez.

well the coach from los cremas spongneo (dont know how to write his name) it's a good option since he has produce so many good players from las canteras de comunicaciones and has experience on how to work with young players!

sup Jonas, well from what i hear Sopegno is in talks with the Federation cause they want him to be the U17 coach. I think this would be the best decision for our Sele. He has the experience with working young lads so he's the best candidate for the position.

Sopegno has said no. Due to the length of the contract that was offered and " el compromiso que tiene con el equipo de Comunicaciones" which means not enough money.

Bubble has been burst, sorry guys.

But seriously, I dont think it's so much the money, as it is the contract time. He seems to be a coach that wansts to prove he can do well, and needs enough time to prove that. And what i've seen from the fed and the younger teams is that they want results immediately, which is not what our teams are known for.

Yep, no coach in their right mind would want to go through the humiliation we're about to face with this team in the next round. Gonna be bad.

A quel cerote es mi tio como unos aqui conocen.

Put it this way, would you consider Maradona and Dunga good coaches since they were captain of their respective seles? Last time I was in Guate, he and my cousins had a team en Futeca, he still had it in him, playing with a whole bunch of kids too. He knows the game of football, he is a people person, down to earth individual. Literally, when I first went to Guate in 2000, kids on the street recognized him and no problem gave them autographs, he even drove an 88 corolla with rust all over. As a coach though, it's Guate, why not give him a shot with the u-17, give them more on the field IQ.

Just my two cents. I'll comment again in two months as usual.

Not much confidence within the squad as the U-17 coaching staff cut some Achik' players who were regulars in favor of untested Cremas who, I've been told, aren't that good.

The pissing match between Fedefut and CDAG continues.
